    THIS FLUID WORKS!

I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey. I was informed at 75,000 miles I would need a new torque converter. I was getting a lot of shuddering which is a problem with Honda Odysseys. I read on a blog that if you change the transmission fluid and use DR Tranny Instant Shudder Fix and/or Lubegard ATF Protectant, products from the same company, it would remove the shudder. The bill was going to be $1,850 so I thought a $6 bottle of Dr Tranny Instant Shudder fix was worth a try. So I had the Honda dealer replace the fluid and noticed on the drive home the shudder was greatly reduced but not eliminated. After about 10 minutes of driving I put the Dr Tranny Instant Shudder Fix in and now the shudder is nearly gone. Once in a blue moon I get a slight shudder but it is so infrequent it is an after thought. About 2 weeks later I put in the Lubegard ATF Protectant, protectant made by the same company and I called the company and they told me the fluids could be mixed, because it provides long term wear... 5/5 Michael - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) great

0 5/5 L7 (south jersey) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Lubegard 60902 Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant, 10 oz. (Automotive) As an automatic transmission rebuilder I hesitate to recommend any additives. This is one of the few I would suggest. Many late model transmissions are electronically controlled. What I like about Lube Gard is that it treats the electronic solenoids without affecting the seals. There are products out there that swell the seals and they gradually shear off each time they are applied. Lube Gard is a very well respected product... especially at the reasonable prices you can find on Amazon. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , December 7, 2011

    Great price

0 5/5 John Edward (Miami, FL) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Lubegard 50902 Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant, 32 oz. (Automotive) I've been using Lubegard for years in all my transmissions. I have no scientific proof this works, but my subjective opinion is the tranny shifts smoother and tighter. One thing that is for sure is that Amazon sells this for less than any other place. I always buy this 32 ounce bottle, which gives me 4 tranny jobs at 8 ounces each (1 ounce per quart, for an 8 quart tranny). So it is much cheaper to buy this 32 ounce bottle from Amazon, instead of buying 4 single 10 ounce bottles to do 4 tranny jobs. There are measuring marks on the side of the bottle, so you can pour out what you need, and recap the rest. This one bottle is enough to do 4 regular sized tranny jobs. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , June 12, 2012

Saved my transmission and thousands of $$

My 2000 Accord had started slipping at a bit over 100,000 miles, especially in 1st and 2nd gear. It ended up triggering the engine warning light. Took it into the dealership and they said the torque converter was going and that I needed to replace the transmission with a rebuilt to the tune of $4,500.I did some research online and found out that Honda has had many problems with their post year 2000 transmissions in several vehicles, including the Accord. But several people had replaced their transmission fluid with Red Line D4 ATF and also installed an inline Magnefine AFT filter. (Honda's ATF filter is internal to the transmission and is not changeable.) Seeing that many others had good results, I figured the $50-60 for the price of an full ATF change it was worth a try.Immediately after doing a full fluid replacement (and I mean the very first drive) I noticed a dramatic improvement in the shifting.
