Could be a lot of things. Fluid will blow out the tube if a) the transmission is overfull b) the transmission is overheating c) you have a bad pump.

    My 2000 Accord had started slipping at a bit over 100,000 miles, especially in 1st and 2nd gear. It ended up triggering the engine warning light. Took it into the dealership and they said the torque converter was going and that I needed to replace the transmission with a rebuilt to the tune of $4,500.I did some research online and found out that Honda has had many problems with their post year 2000 transmissions in several vehicles, including the Accord. But several people had replaced their transmission fluid with Red Line D4 ATF and also installed an inline Magnefine AFT filter. (Honda's ATF filter is internal to the transmission and is not changeable.) Seeing that many others had good results, I figured the $50-60 for the price of an full ATF change it was worth a try.Immediately after doing a full fluid replacement (and I mean the very first drive) I noticed a dramatic improvement in the shifting.     RED LINE TRANNY FLUID FROM AMAZON

    hi guys.......toyota uses good fluids from the factory.....when you change to red line......you will notice your tranny running better.....every year i do 10,000 miles.....i have a drain plug on my toyota solara so i drop what comes out of the pan only.... usually 3 quarts.....and i replace it with red line synthetic.....$30 dollars a year and my tranny smells and performs better than new....always pink and a strong odor.....this is the best way to keep your tranny new.....if you dont follow this and wait for the color to change to darker and no odor then your tranny is wearing out sooner than later....i have other things to do with $2000 dollars than replace my tranny....i also use mobil 1 in the oil...there are other quality brands out there that may work as well.....i can speak for RED LINE only....the bomb....i will never use anything... 5/5 joey 300 (new york) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?)     Amazing stuff! The fix-all for all Acura transmissions!

    What can I say? I have nothing but praise for this stuff. I bought my 2004 Acura TL in August and really haven't been able to enjoy it since then because a week after my purchase, I was told by a small shop that my transmission was on its way out. I've been babying the car since then, and keeping my fingers crossed during the several 250 mile trips I've made to my hometown. I didn't have many symptoms, except the occasional chatter, RPM fluctuation, etc. I narrowed it down to the torque converter, then did some research. After replacing the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches and noticing a little difference, I decided to do more research. Then I heard about this stuff...Oh man, was it ever worth the $130 investment! I first got the car jacked up, and loosened the drain. I'm not kidding, I don't think my fluid has been changed in the 107,000 miles on the car.     Originally ordered a B&M cooler for my 2012 Honda Odyssey, but when that arrived the build quality(made in Mexico) was terrible and it was returned. You can look up that review for more info. I ordered this Hayden and hoped for the best. It arrived today, and WOW!!! awesome quality. Made in Australia!!!! NOT Mexico, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, etc., etc.. Perfectly aligned fins, soldered / brazed perfectly straight, lays perfectly flat. Cooling fins between plated are micro-louvered and look to be the best in the industry for cooling airflow. If you are a gizmo nut like me, wait till you see them. They look amazing. Nothing like the poorly designed fins on the B&M. I trust this design 100% with no reservations at all. I will never use another brand of cooler. Also, The B&M came with 3/8 barb ends similar to this, but the B&M came with 3/8 hose.     I've owned my 02 Acura RSX Type S since new in August 2001. It is still the best and most fun car I've ever owned in my 50 years of driving. The only complaint I've ever had was shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. The speed of the car, whether sedate or aggressive didn't seem to matter. The ratio jump between 1st and 2nd gears is substantial and it was always clunky, sometimes grinding. Down shifting was never an issue from 3rd to 2nd.In the last few years I've tried several things to improve the shifting. I started with a short throw shift lever from B&M which seemed to help, but in reality caused the shift cable end to bend, because of the design of the lever. What had helped was the removal of the rubber bushings that mounted the shifter housing to the floor of the car, the B&M kit included aluminum bushings to replace the originals.
