    LUBEGARD IS A MIRACLE!

5/5 Rizzorvp - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Lubegard 60902 Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant, 10 oz. (Automotive) This product along with Dr. Tranny Instant Shudder Fix is nothing short than a MIRACLE..I have a 2003 Honda Odyessy with 190K miles on it. Change the Tran Fluid in it 2 times a year. Back in January the car started shuddering and slipping gears. Several mechanics told me the Transmission was done..it would be $2800-$3300 (AAMCO) to $5000 (local mechanic) I parked the car for a few months and did my research..bought this product on Amazon..drained the old tran fluid out of the car (which was black) and put Valvoline Max Life Tran Fluid + Lubegard + Dr Tranny Instant Shudder Fix. The Result: The Odyessy runs PERFECT. Barely a slip in gear from 1st. to 2nd...AND NO SHUDDER! This product is AMAZING! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! Impressed

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty impressed with this. The only additive I've ever found to work was Restore until this. I got two of these bottles. One to try on a 1998 Honda Prelude and a 2007 Silverado. The Prelude shifts like hell from gear 1 to 2. It keeps losing 2nd clutch pressure switches left and right. I got tired of replacing them and gave Lubegard a shot. It didn't do anything but it really isn't something it can fix though. It was worth a try.My Silverado on the other hand.. it shifts like a champ now. I bought it at 33K miles and did 5 transmission drain and fills at 50K miles. I used Amsoil SSO ATF. It improved shifting quality a bit but I never really had any issue to start with. Just wanted to change my ATF at the extreme interval. When its cold it goes from gear 1 to 2 a little rough and downshifts a little rough when coming to a stop but both of these things were never problems. Just things to get used to. Even though I have a transmission oil cooler... 5/5 ACH91332 - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Lubegard 60902 Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant, 10 oz. My favorite!

5/5 Martin S. - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Red Line 30504 D4 Automatic Transmission Fluid - 1 Quart (Automotive) I am a mechanical engineer and have done all my own maintenance for 40 years. This stuff is the absolute best and the only fluid I use in AT's that require the older Mercon/Dexron III fluid. Also my "go to" hydraulic fluid for power steering systems and floor jacks.Only negative: It proved to be TOO good for my '95 BMW with Getrag manual transmission. It requires Dexron III, but the shifting started getting a bit notchier with Redline. Went back to cheap petroleum Dexron III ATF and shifting smoothed back out. Manual transmissions have synchronizers - which are kind of like clutches and require a bit of drag to work right. When the fluid is too slippery for the design, they don't work as well. Other manual transmissions may be just fine, but a word of caution for mid 90's Getrags. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , August 13, 2013

    Another excellent Red Line product

5/5 T.M. Reader (Midwest, United States) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Red Line 30504 D4 Automatic Transmission Fluid - 1 Quart (Automotive) If you are aren't familiar with Red Line automotive lubricant products -- be informed that most knowledgeable mechanics consider it to be the best line of petroleum products available. I use this ATF in my 20 year old Eldorado that still drives like new. My thoughts? . . . .When purchasing, I'm thinking, "this is expensive" and "it would have been quicker to pick up a chain store brand". However, when flogging the car at interstate+ speeds in 95 degree heat I'm thinking, "So glad I've got Red Line in the engine and transmission - the speed/heat won't get to it". Awesome cooler, which mounting was easier w/o zips

OK, so I have a 99 Jeep XJ. I dont trust the zips thru the condenser and radiator. I read too many posts on forums saying they ended up with radiator leaks down the road. and some with no more AC. I bought the Hayden bracket kit. I ended up mounting it on the driver side. flipped around so the brackets are closer to the bumper. There are 2 holes that are just behind the bumper than work for mounting, they're a bit tricky but some stuby wrenches and small socket got it done. I stuck 2 of those foam pads to the cooler to pad between the cooler and condenser. And then used 2 of those zips to go above the radiator to keep tension on, I keep the other 2 extra zips in the glove compartment. It took me forever to find a way to mount this thing without pulling the bumper or header panel. I read some people put it in front of the mechanical fan, but my Jeep has 125k and in the morning or when the engine is cold, the tranny doesnt like shifting until its has warmed up. So I figured in... 4/5 basmati_riceee (SF,CA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Originally ordered a B&M cooler for my 2012 Honda Odyssey, but when that arrived the build quality(made in Mexico) was terrible and it was returned. You can look up that review for more info. Perfectly aligned fins, soldered / brazed perfectly straight, lays perfectly flat. Cooling fins between plated are micro-louvered and look to be the best in the industry for cooling airflow. If you are a gizmo nut like me, wait till you see them. They look amazing. Nothing like the poorly designed fins on the B&M. I trust this design 100% with no reservations at all. I will never use another brand of cooler. Also, The B&M came with 3/8 barb ends similar to this, but the B&M came with 3/8 hose. It was NOT a snug fit and appeared to be a source for future leaks, even with clamps. This Hayden comes with 11/32 Gates hose. Install was a breeze, no problems.

Installed like a charm, no issues after towing a 5x8 U-Haul across the SW desert in summer.I installed this on a 2nd gen 4 cyl Toyota Tacoma. I was only towing about 1,800 lbs (half the max T2R-FE 4 cyl towing capacity) and most told me it probably wasn't absolutely necessary, but I didn't want to take any chances with my valuables going through the desert in a high-mileage truck.I just used the foam pads and zip ties provided to install, as I had neither the time nor machining tools handy to do custom mounting brackets. I did an auxiliary (not bypass) install and the provided hose was *just* long enough to do the job without the hoses being kinked or stressed. If you don't measure very carefully and aren't smart about it, it will be easy to cut the hose such that the other length is unusable, forcing you to shell out another $10+ for a length of ATF hose.
