I've previously used Lucas Transmission Fix with good results, but this has been more effective

5/5 AK (PGH/NYC) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Lubegard 60902 Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant, 10 oz. (Automotive) Significantly improved performance on a 200K mile Toyota four-speed auto. Shifts feel more 'crisp' and there is a feeling of less slack in the drivetrain. LUBEGARD IS A MIRACLE!

5/5 Rizzorvp - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Lubegard 60902 Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant, 10 oz. (Automotive) This product along with Dr. Tranny Instant Shudder Fix is nothing short than a MIRACLE..I have a 2003 Honda Odyessy with 190K miles on it. Change the Tran Fluid in it 2 times a year. Back in January the car started shuddering and slipping gears. Several mechanics told me the Transmission was done..it would be $2800-$3300 (AAMCO) to $5000 (local mechanic) I parked the car for a few months and did my research..bought this product on Amazon..drained the old tran fluid out of the car (which was black) and put Valvoline Max Life Tran Fluid + Lubegard + Dr Tranny Instant Shudder Fix. The Result: The Odyessy runs PERFECT. Barely a slip in gear from 1st. to 2nd...AND NO SHUDDER! This product is AMAZING! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! Impressed

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty impressed with this. The only additive I've ever found to work was Restore until this. I got two of these bottles. One to try on a 1998 Honda Prelude and a 2007 Silverado. The Prelude shifts like hell from gear 1 to 2. It keeps losing 2nd clutch pressure switches left and right. I got tired of replacing them and gave Lubegard a shot. It didn't do anything but it really isn't something it can fix though. It was worth a try.My Silverado on the other hand.. it shifts like a champ now. I bought it at 33K miles and did 5 transmission drain and fills at 50K miles. I used Amsoil SSO ATF. It improved shifting quality a bit but I never really had any issue to start with. Just wanted to change my ATF at the extreme interval. When its cold it goes from gear 1 to 2 a little rough and downshifts a little rough when coming to a stop but both of these things were never problems. Just things to get used to. Even though I have a transmission oil cooler... 5/5 Anthony Holden - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great Transmission Fluid For NV3550

5/5 Brian - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Red Line (50204) SAE 75W80 API GL-4 Manual Transmission and Transaxle Lubricant - 1 Quart (Automotive) I've got a Jeep TJ Wrangler with the NV3550. It is very picky of what kind of fluid it uses. The options are: Mopar Fluid, Pennzoil Synchromesh, Royal Purple SynchrMAX, Amsoil Synchromesh, and Redline MTL. I've tried all these fluids in my NV3500 and I've had the best results with Red Line MTL. The Red Line fluid really smooths shifts out and makes everything less notchy. If I had to rank all the fluids here's how I'd rank them:1. Redline MTL2. Amsoil Synchromesh (very close second)3. Royal Purple Synchromax (2nd gear was very notchy)4. Mopar Fluid (Nothing special and overpriced. Shift feel was acceptable)5. Pennzoil Synchromesh (Shifting through all gears was rough. Worse out of all 5)I'd recommend the Redline MTL for your NV3550. I'm going to either stick with MTL or Amsoil for future oil changes. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 16, 2014

One of the best chemicals I have ever bought for a car!

This product is nothing short of awesome! I have been a sports car enthusiast for 30 years, and in that time I have owned many performance cars, as well as working in the automotive field for 20 years. I used to live by the rule that their is no chemical fix for a mechanical problem, but this gear oil did do just that in my situation. I purchased a 2007 Civic Si a little over a year ago, just to have something a little sporty to drive around town, and also be reliable (Honda ;) ). I learned that the third gear synchronizer in these cars were notorious for problems, and there was even a service bulletin issued by Honda that recommended replacing the synchronizer in the transmission, which calls for around 12 hours of labor. I have always ran synthetic oil in my vehicles, and after researching gear oil I came across Red Line, and also read some reviews by other Si owners stating this product solved their 3rd gear problems. Well, I gave it a shot, and yes it did fix this specific issue... 5/5 EVH - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Don't use in NSG370

JEEP OWNERS BEWARE! This is not the fluid you want for your 6-speed NSG-370 equipped TJ or JK! Redline's product info says this meets Chrysler's MS-9224 specs and is correct for the NSG-370, but don't be fooled. 60,000 miles on my newly purchased 2006 Wrangler X, transmission shifted perfect and gave no indication of any problems, but I figured I'd change the trans fluid out since I didn't know its history. The old fluid came out nice and clean. Put this fluid in and less than 100 miles later my 2nd gear synchro is on its way out. It started out a little notchy to get into 2nd when cold, and now it grinds every time shifting into 2nd unless I baby it in. I drained it and am going to switch to the Mopar fluid from the Jeep dealership, maybe I'll get lucky and the grinding will stop, but I doubt it. Save yourself the multiple-thousand dollar rebuild bill on an NSG-370 and go to the Jeep dealership and get the right fluid. It even says NSG-370 fluid right on the bottle. This size cooler is good enough for small cars

Customer Video Review Length:: 2:46 MinsHere are photos and a video to show what I did to my 2008 mitsubishi Galant fortis/ Lancer Gts.This size cooler is good enough for small cars. I completely remove the factory cooler/warmer As I live in Jamaica, no need for the warmer here, cooler adapter plate was made and then place this cooler in the original spot that the EVO X and GTS cooler sits.I did not check my temperatures prior to installation but the temp reading after the installation reads 164 degrees fahrenheit after 15 minutes run up the hill. While you are moving It will be cooler this temp check is stop and idle quick check at the time my radiator reading was 186 degrees fahrenheit and this water would normally be flowing through the factory housing which maybe hotter trans fluid so I'm cool with that. I am going to install a 7" cooling fan and tie it in with the ac fans.New update after one day My wife came home today after a 7 mile drive 3... 5/5 Kxriss - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Works fine on 2005 Odyssey

4/5 Mr. Value Conscious (Charlotte, NC USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Hayden Automotive 676 Rapid-Cool Plate and Fin Transmission Cooler (Automotive) I installed it at 100K to give the transmission longer life (hopefully) along with a fully fluid exchange. Had to install using plastic tabs and in front of condenser because there were no other brackets on the van that I could mount it to and I did not want to take the time to fab up a separate bracket. I also installed an in-line filter with this. Time will tell if this was worth it since I don't do any towing yet so heat has not been a problem yet. Installation was pretty straightforward but you want to go on-line and find the technician diagram for the transmission cooler lines so that you get the correct one the first try. I mounted in series with the stock cooler and after the stock cooler before going through the filter and then to the tranny. No leaks and works fine so far.
