    Not gonna lie, I'm pretty impressed with this. The only additive I've ever found to work was Restore until this. I got two of these bottles. One to try on a 1998 Honda Prelude and a 2007 Silverado.The Prelude shifts like hell from gear 1 to 2. It keeps losing 2nd clutch pressure switches left and right. I got tired of replacing them and gave Lubegard a shot. It didn't do anything but it really isn't something it can fix though. It was worth a try.My Silverado on the other hand.. it shifts like a champ now. I bought it at 33K miles and did 5 transmission drain and fills at 50K miles. I used Amsoil SSO ATF. It improved shifting quality a bit but I never really had any issue to start with. Just wanted to change my ATF at the extreme interval. When its cold it goes from gear 1 to 2 a little rough and downshifts a little rough when coming to a stop but both of these things were never problems. Just things to get used to. As it is, the small space under the hood of some cars makes it very difficult to place the cooler without bending the fins. The wire tie mounts are not very useful for most applications. But, it's the functionality in the end that is most important. The cooler does the job it's supposed to do. That way the trans heat is removed before it adds to the radiator load and the radiator can heat cold ATF to operating temp.It will be a few months before I tow my trailer again and put that load on the trans.     This product is nothing short of awesome! I have been a sports car enthusiast for 30 years, and in that time I have owned many performance cars, as well as working in the automotive field for 20 years. I used to live by the rule that their is no chemical fix for a mechanical problem, but this gear oil did do just that in my situation. I purchased a 2007 Civic Si a little over a year ago, just to have something a little sporty to drive around town, and also be reliable (Honda ;) ). I learned that the third gear synchronizer in these cars were notorious for problems, and there was even a service bulletin issued by Honda that recommended replacing the synchronizer in the transmission, which calls for around 12 hours of labor. I have always ran synthetic oil in my vehicles, and after researching gear oil I came across Red Line, and also read some reviews by other Si owners stating this product solved their 3rd gear problems. I had the problem of rattling sound in neutral (especially AC on or low rev driving) when the clutch is engaged. Went to the dealer, ended up having the clutch and flywheel replaced, did not help AT ALL. Went to a transmission shop, no problem detected (not ANY of the bearings). Looked online, decided to give this (trans fluid change) a shot. Since I got a performance clutch and lightweight flywheel , there is still some rattling after it warmed up at low rev (and some when AC is on), but it is way quieter now.     I wish I'd had this years ago.

    I've owned my 02 Acura RSX Type S since new in August 2001. It is still the best and most fun car I've ever owned in my 50 years of driving. The only complaint I've ever had was shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. The speed of the car, whether sedate or aggressive didn't seem to matter. The ratio jump between 1st and 2nd gears is substantial and it was always clunky, sometimes grinding. Down shifting was never an issue from 3rd to 2nd.In the last few years I've tried several things to improve the shifting. I started with a short throw shift lever from B&M which seemed to help, but in reality caused the shift cable end to bend, because of the design of the lever. What had helped was the removal of the rubber bushings that mounted the shifter housing to the floor of the car, the B&M kit included aluminum bushings to replace the originals.
