Survive the Night

Creator: Danielle Vega | Young Adult Fiction - 2015-07-07

I first saw Sam lying in the grass outside a house party, his feet propped against a riding lawn mower. Long brown ... I kicked the mower's tires. “You're giving ... “ Besides, I think I can convince drunk people it's a rollercoaster ride.” He had me ...

About this book
Stephen King meets Pretty Little Liars in this pulse-pounding novel from the author of The Merciless  Just back from rehab, Casey regrets letting her friends Shana, Julie, and Aya talk her into coming to Survive the Night, an all-night, underground rave in a New York City subway tunnel. Surrounded by frightening drugs and menacing strangers, Casey doesn’t think Survive the Night could get any worse...   ...until she comes across Julie’s mutilated body in a dank, black subway tunnel, red-eyed rats nibbling at her fingers. Casey thought she was just off with some guy—no one could hear her getting torn apart over the sound of pulsing music. And by the time they get back to the party, everyone is gone.   Desperate for help, Casey and her friends find themselves running through the putrid subway tunnels, searching for a way out. But every manhole is sealed shut, and every noise echoes eerily in the dark, reminding them they’re not alone.   They’re being hunted.   Trapped underground with someone—or something—out to get them, Casey can’t help but listen to Aya’s terrified refrain: “We’re all gonna die down here.”From the Hardcover edition.

Revenge of the Ancient Ones

Creator: Lisa A. Shiel | Alternative histories (Fiction) - 2012-09-01

Halfway between the house and the cliffs, the lawnmower zipped back and forth at top speed. ... canvas jacket andjeans she saw before, sat ramrod straight in the seat of the riding lawnmower, with his gloved hands tightly gripping the steering wheel. ... From five feet away, the area looked like woods with no trail evident, aside from the faint parallel tracks where the mower's tires depressed the grass.

Put new tires in really hot water to soften to make installation easy. Now remove tires/wheels from tractor

You need a couple of tools to install this tire. Since it is so small it's a little different than a car tire. I am an amputee ( Leg above the knee) and I am in a wheelchair so if I can do it anyone can if you apply your mechanical knowledge. You will need a couple long handled regular screwdriver ( About 12" long, blade type) . Put new tires in really hot water to soften to make installation easy. Now remove tires/wheels from tractor. Remove inside of Valve stem ( Where you put the air in) and let all the air out.If stem isn't good, reuse it, if not replace it. I stick one screw driver in under the lip of the rim and grab the edge of the tire and pop it up then insert other screwdriver and work it to the other side. Use a little bit of soapy water, it helps. keep working the tire off on one side then keep it on the same side and do the same thing with the other edge of the tire repeating the same thing on the other tire. Now you take one of the new tires out of the hot water... 5/5 Ron P. - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Like many, my tires arrived compressed

Like many, my tires arrived compressed. I have seen several complaints with regard to this. Having worked as a mechanic I am here to tell you that while automotive tires are not compressed this way for shipping, most large lawn tractor tires are. This is not the shipping people, this is the manufacturer who does this. The trick is to remove the shipping straps/materials and place the tires in a warm place to "decompress." They will eventually "pop" into their original shape as manufactured. If you try to mount them too soon, and you put them at the proscribed pressure, you'll end up with your tire rolling off the rim repeatedly. In fact I've seen cases where people did this and the tires ended up with a permanent saddle shape. If you don't have a nice warm sunny climate or a good heated spot (like right below a heat duct) in a shop, you can use a heat gun on low to warm them. I have done this in winter time when replacing tires on winter equipped snow rig... 5/5 Randall Laclaire (New York State) - See all my reviews, July 10, 2015

1/5 Herman Hall - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Carlisle Turf Saver Lawn & Garden Tire - 16x6.50-8 (Automotive) The problem with these Carlisle lawn tires is not the tires themselves is how they are shipped and God forbid should a person live in a cold weather climate and expect to install these tires in early spring or winter. These tires are shipped so compressed for a loss of words and distorted out of shape I had to have a heat gun to soften up the material just to try and install said tires and this installation was in middle Tennessee and getting the bead to reseal is a horrible problem because again it is the distortion of the tire itself and from where I stand I will never again buy these tires shipped in this kind of condition should it be the LORD's will I will go to Northern tool and pay more but buy the product off the shelf in the proper mounting condition and one suggestion to the supplier, ship them in the proper condition and in a box. I simple cannot believe some one would ship these tires in such a distorted manner...Herman Hall Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , March 29, 2017

Fits sloppy and had to trim the bushing but made it work on JD 165

3/5 Jim C (Alabama) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Arnold Universal 15-Inch Lawn Mower Front Wheel (Lawn & Patio) Three stars may be a bit harsh, 'cause it does work on the John Deere Hydro 165 but the fit on the spindle is sloppier than I'd like. If the plastic bushing holds up I'll come back and give it another star! The yellow hub cover from the John Deere wheel doesn't fit, it's way too big.Update: First time I used it the wheel came off, the bushing was a smidge too long and wouldn't let the O-ring seat all the way. Easy enough fix, trimmed the back end of the bushing down a bit .... but .... shouldn't have had to do that! It is what it is, a cheap way to get another season from an old mower and for the price it's ok but not great. OK BUT

3/5 Jim Para - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Arnold Universal 15-Inch Lawn Mower Front Wheel (Lawn & Patio) The tires and rims seem to be fine BUT the adapters for the grease fitting are a pain. First I could not find a combination that allowed the tire to fit firmly against the front suspension and I had to go out and find two large washers to take up the slack. Second the grease fitting is in such an awkward place that I could not get to it with a normal grease gun fitting. I had to order a 90 degree grease gun fitting. Amazing Traction and great fit

I have a steep water management ditch in front of my house in the right-of-way. I can never mow it and always have to weed whack it because it always has an inch of water standing in it. Before I got these tires, I couldn't even come within 3 feet of it without bogging down in the mud and getting stuck and having to get a shovel and 2x4's to build a ramp to get out. Well after getting these tires tonight and mounting them on my Cub Cadet LTX-1046 I couldn't be happier. These fit the stock rims perfectly, don't worry about trying to find the 20x8-8. These 20x10-8 work just fine with plenty of clearance. Nothing to worry about the deck goes in all of it's positions with no problems. I drove right out into the middle of the ditch water and all and drove right back out all without losing an ounce of traction. It was like these tires gave my tractor testicles. LOL! For once it didn't get stuck and cause me to start cursing up a storm. Seriously it was like night and day difference. I can't... 5/5 Alicia L. - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great tires.. Good price..

The factory turf saver tires that my new yard tractor came with were no match for the steep inclines in my backyard, the tires just spun in place and laughed at me as as tried multiple times to go up at different angles with no luck. I searched online to find a solution to this problem and saw a lot of people replacing their turf savers with AG tires. So off I went to my local TSC and they had 2 of them in stock, but they charged a hundred bucks each. That seemed high for such small tires, so I checked Amazon on my phone and found the same exact tire much cheaper, so I left the store and ordered them from the parking lot. They arrived quickly (prime 2 day) along with some new rims (I didn't want to scratch up the almost new factory wheels). After fighting with it for quite a while with different tools/methods, I managed to get the first tire on the rim using a pry bar and a couple of bar clamps. After getting the hang of it with the first one the second tire went on much... 5/5 FuFa - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Advertised a "Turf Saver II"(2-ply 10 psi) as a "Turf Saver"(4-ply 22 psi)

1/5 Bill Fesmire - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Carlisle Turf Saver II Lawn & Garden Tire - 18X8.50-8 (Automotive) I ordered a Turf Saver and there was nothing in the information that indicates this is a Turf Saver II tire which is a huge difference. Ever the picture has on the tire "Turf Saver" on the side wall. The mfg number was in the description and I did research and find that the number was for a "Turf Saver II" but that was the only thing. The Turf Saver II tire is a 2-ply tire that can only hold 10 PSI which is no good for a golf cart. The "Turf Saver" is a 4-ply tire that holds 22 psi. I didn't even know there was a Turf Saver II until today. I rechecked today and it is still the same. My guys were complaining about the cheap tires I got. This was the worst online purchase in my entire online buying experience. I believe this was intentionally deceptive., February 6, 2015

    Works just fine

5/5 Miller, C (Seattle, Wa USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Carlisle Turf Saver II Lawn & Garden Tire - 15X6-6 A (Automotive) Got this to replace my 18yr old tire that refused to hold air anymore. It was a pain to get on the rim. I found the trick is to use a LOT of lubrication. I used a silicone spray to coat the rim and tire bead. I mean really, don't hold back! After that it just popped right on and I filled it full. 15psi I think. Its been at least a month and it hasn't lost any air. If you decide to go with a 4ply tire get a ratchet strap and wrap it around the center of the tire when you're ready to seat the bead. You don't have to squeeze real tight but jut a little pressure should help. If all else fails search Youtube for some videos. Good luck.
