Survive the Night

Creator: Danielle Vega | Young Adult Fiction - 2015-07-07

I first saw Sam lying in the grass outside a house party, his feet propped against a riding lawn mower. Long brown ... I kicked the mower's tires. “You're giving ... “ Besides, I think I can convince drunk people it's a rollercoaster ride.” He had me ...

About this book
Stephen King meets Pretty Little Liars in this pulse-pounding novel from the author of The Merciless  Just back from rehab, Casey regrets letting her friends Shana, Julie, and Aya talk her into coming to Survive the Night, an all-night, underground rave in a New York City subway tunnel. Surrounded by frightening drugs and menacing strangers, Casey doesn’t think Survive the Night could get any worse...   ...until she comes across Julie’s mutilated body in a dank, black subway tunnel, red-eyed rats nibbling at her fingers. Casey thought she was just off with some guy—no one could hear her getting torn apart over the sound of pulsing music. And by the time they get back to the party, everyone is gone.   Desperate for help, Casey and her friends find themselves running through the putrid subway tunnels, searching for a way out. But every manhole is sealed shut, and every noise echoes eerily in the dark, reminding them they’re not alone.   They’re being hunted.   Trapped underground with someone—or something—out to get them, Casey can’t help but listen to Aya’s terrified refrain: “We’re all gonna die down here.”From the Hardcover edition.

Halfway between the house and the cliffs, the lawnmower zipped back and forth at top speed. ... canvas jacket andjeans she saw before, sat ramrod straight in the seat of the riding lawnmower, with his gloved hands tightly gripping the steering wheel. ... From five feet away, the area looked like woods with no trail evident, aside from the faint parallel tracks where the mower's tires depressed the grass.

Put new tires in really hot water to soften to make installation easy. Now remove tires/wheels from tractor

You need a couple of tools to install this tire. Since it is so small it's a little different than a car tire. I am an amputee ( Leg above the knee) and I am in a wheelchair so if I can do it anyone can if you apply your mechanical knowledge. You will need a couple long handled regular screwdriver ( About 12" long, blade type) . Put new tires in really hot water to soften to make installation easy. Now remove tires/wheels from tractor. Remove inside of Valve stem ( Where you put the air in) and let all the air out.If stem isn't good, reuse it, if not replace it. I stick one screw driver in under the lip of the rim and grab the edge of the tire and pop it up then insert other screwdriver and work it to the other side. Use a little bit of soapy water, it helps. keep working the tire off on one side then keep it on the same side and do the same thing with the other edge of the tire repeating the same thing on the other tire. Now you take one of the new tires out of the hot water... 5/5 Ron P. - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Tire from bottom of their pile?

2/5 EC - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Carlisle Turf Saver Lawn & Garden Tire - 20X10-8 (Automotive) I've stocked tires. I've sold tires. I've installed tires as small as the ones on the front of my lawn tractor up to ones on a 8 1/2 ton Pettibone crane. Most all were tubeless, requiring a way to seat the bead. The crane tire was most challenging - and it was round. You should say, "Well it's a tire and is supposed to be round."Well, not this tire I ordered from Amazon!I ordered two other tires from them and they were perfect. However, this last one must have slipped past anyone of any authority that should have intervened and said "NO! We can't send that item to a paying customer."So...Amazon? Yes, I'm calling you and trying to get your attention. I'll be muttering some expletives at you as I attempt to seat the bead on the flattened, triangular-shaped tire you sent to me...[...][...] Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , April 6, 2014

    Advertised a "Turf Saver II"(2-ply 10 psi) as a "Turf Saver"(4-ply 22 psi)

1/5 Bill Fesmire - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Carlisle Turf Saver II Lawn & Garden Tire - 18X8.50-8 (Automotive) I ordered a Turf Saver and there was nothing in the information that indicates this is a Turf Saver II tire which is a huge difference. Ever the picture has on the tire "Turf Saver" on the side wall. The mfg number was in the description and I did research and find that the number was for a "Turf Saver II" but that was the only thing. The Turf Saver II tire is a 2-ply tire that can only hold 10 PSI which is no good for a golf cart. The "Turf Saver" is a 4-ply tire that holds 22 psi. I didn't even know there was a Turf Saver II until today. I rechecked today and it is still the same. My guys were complaining about the cheap tires I got. This was the worst online purchase in my entire online buying experience. I believe this was intentionally deceptive., February 6, 2015

    Works just fine

5/5 Miller, C (Seattle, Wa USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Carlisle Turf Saver II Lawn & Garden Tire - 15X6-6 A (Automotive) Got this to replace my 18yr old tire that refused to hold air anymore. It was a pain to get on the rim. I found the trick is to use a LOT of lubrication. I used a silicone spray to coat the rim and tire bead. I mean really, don't hold back! After that it just popped right on and I filled it full. 15psi I think. Its been at least a month and it hasn't lost any air. If you decide to go with a 4ply tire get a ratchet strap and wrap it around the center of the tire when you're ready to seat the bead. You don't have to squeeze real tight but jut a little pressure should help. If all else fails search Youtube for some videos. Good luck. Better Check how they prepare shipment

2/5 Pickels - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: (2) 15x6.00-6 Tires 4 Ply Lawn Mower Garden Tractor 15-6.00-6 Turf Master Tread The tires arrived bound together so tight even after 1 week of allowing them to return to some relevance of being round we could not get them to seat. After trying for several hours of trying we finally took them to a professional tire facility for seating and inflation. I took them numerous attempts but finally after using bans and lots of effort they got them inflated. I cannot believe they arrived in this condition when a simple box would have made things so much easier. I would NOT purchase from this company again unless they use other methods of preparing the shipment. Should have taken picture but one of the tires as they truly looked like a triangle in shape!! Very disappointing!!!!! Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 11, 2015

This review is from: (2) 15x6.00-6 Tires 4 Ply Lawn Mower Garden Tractor 15-6.00-6 Turf Master Tread As others have noted, tires are shipped strapped together, so tightly that they are flattened right out. None of the usual tricks (ratchet strapped, fire) work to seat these beads. I futzed with these for three hours, finally just put tubes in them - they'll work for my purpose, I won't bother returning them, but they'd have been great if not shipped flat. This review is from: Marathon 15x6.50-6" Flat Free Tire on Wheel, 3" Hub, 3/4" Bearings (Lawn & Patio) Just received these today and couldn't be happier! Very high quality wheels, and Yes! They do have grease fittings installed. I would have given them 5 stars except for ONE issue. Take note: They only measure 13 and 7/8" on the outside diameter. MAYBE 14" if you stretch your imagination. They are NOT 15" diameter. Fortunately for my application, this is not a huge deal, but it might be for others purchasing these wheels. Make sure of this before you buy them. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , January 29, 2015

    Trouble mounting...

This is a good tire, at a good price. As most of the other reviewers, I found it collapsed in the box, and had trouble mounting it. I FINALLY got it mounted on the rim, and it went flat shortly after. So here's what I did; I bought a tube of black RTV silicone sealant, and ran a generous bead around the inside shoulder, on one side of the rim. I used a tire tool (but a broom handle would work just as well) to push the tire (from the opposite side, inside) onto the rim of the wheel and onto the sealant. I did this on the side AWAY from the valve stem. Once I got it on there far enough to think that it would stay, I ran a bead around the other side on the inside shoulder of the rim. Then, I took the valve core out of the stem, so that a lot more air would flow into the tire. I used a large air chuck, like you would find in a garage. (They seem to work better, than the small ones, when you remove the core from the stem.) Once the core was out, I stuck the air chuck onto the stem, and... 4/5 TheJollySkipper - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?)
