0 5/5 PeteS - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) These tires are great! First of all, you get two 4 ply tires with heavy tread for a very fair price. Then the four (4) ply tires are way less susceptible to sand spurs and thornes than 2 ply tires. Oh, and the company sent them in only a couple of days. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , July 12, 2014

    Excellent!

These 4 ply tires are a deal! I am am experienced mechanic (I have replaced both automotive and motorcycle tires), and these were a breeze. Very high quality too. You will need the correct tire irons - see Core Tools CT118 Tire Iron Set 8.5" (edited), and some water with plenty of dish soap mixed in. It took me about 40 minutes for the entire job. Just make sure you get the bead (the bead is where the rubber tire touches the metal rim) pushed inward on both sides of the tire at the same time (centered at the small diameter of the rim) . This will allow you to carefully, and just a little at a time(!!), pry the tire off & on the rim - use your feet, knees, tire irons, and hands! Great price on two tires.Came boxed very nice not all scrunched up. SO TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, I GOT THEM. WHEN THEY CAME I FOUND WHY . THE HUB WAS FOR A 5 INCH OPENING, THE CUB NEEDS 4-1/2 INCH. ALL I HAD TO DO WAS POP THE BEARINGS OUT AND TRIM 1/4 INCH OFF EACH SIDE, REINSTALL BEARINGS .PUT ON CUB. This review is from: Marathon Industries 01410P 11x4.00-5"LP-Inch Flat Free Lawn Mower Tire with Smooth Tread - 5"-Inch Centered Hub - 3/4"-Inch Precision Ball Bearings (Lawn & Patio) Was always having issues with the front tires rolling off the rim on my Gravely zero turn mower. The local Gravely dealer charged me $15 to put a tube in one tire. Then the other one went flat! Gotta be a better way. I figured somebody has to make a flat free tire like I put on the wheelbarrow. Soooo, Amazon here i come! These wheels& tires were a direct bolt on replacement. Love Amazon Prime. Paid a few extra dollars and bam in the driveway the next day! No more flats! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , June 12, 2013

    flat free tires

0 5/5 bama - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Marathon Industries 01410P 11x4.00-5"LP-Inch Flat Free Lawn Mower Tire with Smooth Tread - 5"-Inch Centered Hub - 3/4"-Inch Precision Ball Bearings (Lawn & Patio) These tires were put on the front a 48 inch zero turn mower. I had to have sleeves made to adapt them to the axels of the mower. The weight on each tire is 210 pounds so that falls well within the 350 lbs weight limitations. I had to put new grease fittings in as the ones that came with the wheels would not accept grease. I also removed the inside grease seals of the bearings so that they would take the grease( I used Lucas blue grease). I have used the mower about 10 hours and so far the wheels have done very well. They give just a little rougher ride but they do very well and I have eliminated the dreaded flat tire. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 19, 2011

0 4/5 Johnny Flash (CONNECTICUT) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Marathon Industries 30426 15x6.50-6" Flat Free Tire with Turf Tread, 3" Centered Hub, 3/4" Precision Ball Bearing (Lawn & Patio) Just received these today and couldn't be happier! Very high quality wheels, and Yes! They do have grease fittings installed. I would have given them 5 stars except for ONE issue. Take note: They only measure 13 and 7/8" on the outside diameter. MAYBE 14" if you stretch your imagination. They are NOT 15" diameter. Fortunately for my application, this is not a huge deal, but it might be for others purchasing these wheels. Make sure of this before you buy them. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , January 29, 2015

    tire shipped was wrong size

0 1/5 mark davenport - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Marathon Industries 30426 15x6.50-6" Flat Free Tire with Turf Tread, 3" Centered Hub, 3/4" Precision Ball Bearing (Lawn & Patio) this is advertised as a 15" diameter tire, and even embossed on the rubber sidewall 15", but the tires that I received measured 13" diameter. After I returned the first set and they replaced with the identical mistake, I returned all for a refund. I don't think Amazon has a clue about what is wrong, but the manufacture has an error and should correct it with Amazon before it costs them too much in return freight charges. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , January 27, 2014

0 5/5 Jack Kertzie - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: 15X6X6 Tube, Straight Valve Stem, Used On Front Wheels Of Many Mowers Good quality especially for the price. Not as hard to installas you might expect. Came with instructions. I would recommend this to anyone who hasa flat mower tire with fair to good tread. Mine had cracks in the sidewalls that leaked air.Tire would not even stay on the rim when it went flat which only took about 15 minutes. Now it acts like a new tire but for a quarter of the price. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , August 30, 2013

    Good for the price.

I bought them for my 20 HP lawnmower. The last time I paid $94, but those chains were heavier and easier to put on. The area that I mow is steep and rough, about five acres. Chains give the needed traction and are a necessary safety item. With chains, I can mow even when its wet – saves the turf from spins. These chains were a little frustrating to put on. Where the cross links connect to the main chain, they sort of bind and sort of kink, but I got them on in about 25 minutes. Chains are always pain to put on especially if you haven’t done it before; but you get them on. These had no instructions.Because they are lighter (the wire the chains are made out of is smaller) they do not dig as deep and, on rare occasions, they have slipped, but just a bit, as compared the heavier $94 chains on my other lawnmower. I doubt they will ever break or wear out.Once I got they kinks straightened, out they were an excellent fit for my 20x8x8 tires. you want traction!!??

To the point; these things rule! Man, I am telling you, I put these suckers on my new craftsman 24 hp YT (yard tractor), and not that it didn't barrel through everything before, but now it don't stop! This is good and bad.I read another's review about chains, they said they were going to get the tire weights and the chains, but then decided to pick up the chains alone. So I did the same thing. May not need the weights, or I can rig a bar and stick a 35 lb plate on it, or sit on one. I know this isn't a review for my tractor but let me tell you that I drive that thing into grass, weeds, small trees and bushes, and thick stuff, some 5 feet high with no hesitation. I was occasionally getting caught in a hidden burrow or on stalks of the bigger flowering bushes and spin a little here and there. if I got hung up I would reverse and put in 2nd or 3rd gear' or 6th if I wanted to literally fly over it. With the chains, I just push right through, grip and rip right through in... 5/5 met - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) I cuoldn't even get the side chains hooked. They are about 6" and 1-cross chain too short. When laid on the tire the side chains sit real high up near the tread.
