survived a 21000 mile road trip!!

5/5 tyler stradtman - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Michelin Commander II Motorcycle Tire Cruiser Rear - 180/65-16 81H (Automotive) I bought a front(130/70/18) and rear (180/65/16) set for my 2010 street glide. what a fantastic tire. the handling compared to the stock dunlops is phenomenal. they rode better, and they lasted much longer too. the front tire wore out first after ~18000 miles. the rear lasted until the end of the trip, 21000 miles. they handled great all the way until the end. they survived rain, ice, dirt, and mud. i wouldnt recommend mud or ice, but it does great in the rain. they were sticky all the way until my footboards were scraping. probably further if i couldve done it(i tried, the brackets on the footboard dont appreciate it. so after two months, 21000 miles, 48 states, and part of canada these tires are highly recommended for anybody looking to do long rides. i wont put any other tire on mine as long as its still in one piece Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , September 25, 2013

    What an incredible difference

5/5 Paul E. Dulin (Waco, TX USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Michelin Commander II Reinforced Motorcycle Tire Cruiser Rear - 140/90-16 (Automotive) This is the same review I wrote on the front Michelin Commander II tire. I replaced a set of almost new Dunlap D402s with these incredible tires. They eliminated the tire related issues I was having. I have a 2004 FLHRi Road King. I was experiencing tracking and handling issues with the Dunlap tires. Now with the Michelins, it is like riding a new motorcycle. No more tracking issues on the back roads of Texas with the parallel road cracks and tar strips. Even the handling on hard pack gravel roads is great and I wouldn't attempt to ride gravel with the other tires. The Michelin tires exceed my highest expectations and I will never ride on anything else. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 1, 2013

These are great tires for a touring bike

4/5 David - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Michelin Commander II Motorcycle Tire Cruiser Rear - 180/65-16 81H (Automotive) I put a set of Commander II on my 2015 HD Ultra Classic. These are great tires for a touring bike. They handle well in wet and dry weather. My bike seemed to ride and handle better. I don't think one would realistically get as many miles as some would have you think. I have 10K miles on mine. I should get another 1K - 2K miles out of it. I would imagine I'll get another 5K-6K out of it. My front tire is at the bottom of the green range on the HD tread measurement tool. I have no complaints about the mileage though other than some advertising would make one think they would get 20K+.Bottom line, the mileage is as good or better than Dunlop tire in handling and mileage and they are less expensive. Good reasons for me to go with another pair before long. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , January 8, 2016

This review is from: CONTINENTAL MOTION Tire Set 120/70zr17 Front & 190/50zr17 Rear 190 50 17 120 70 17 2 Tire Set I bought my GSX-R1000 K5 with these tires already on it. I don't know how many miles were ridden on these tires before me but I put another 4,800 miles on them before they were too worn to ride anymore and they performed just fine for me. I never tried them out on a track, but once they're warmed up they're pretty sticky through whatever twisty roads you can throw at them. And just ~$155 for a new set of tires is a pretty damn good deal. I'm looking forward to seeing how many miles I'll actually get from a new set.Update: 2015/09/15: Well I finally wore them down to the belt! These tires lasted me just over 6,000 miles. My bike is my daily commuter, but I also seize any opportunity to ride hard and go fast! Also, I used DynaBeads for balancing, instead of the traditional lead weights. So, given how well they perform and how long they last, I couldn't say no to the price and ordered these same tires again. I'm a very satisfied repeat customer! The truth about Conti Motions....

Tired of spending big money on tires that last 6000 miles? Then take a close look at the Conti Motion tire. Although the tread life of these tires is pretty much average, the price certainly is not. The cost of a tire often will reflect on it's quality and design, but not always. The Conti Motion is a premium tire at a budget price. I have had several sets, and the rears were made in Germany and the fronts in Malaysia. I see no difference in the quality. Both versions only required 1/4-1/2oz. to balance them.On the road, these tires felt better than the Metzler Interac8's they replaced. Slightly lighter steering (not twitchy), but much better feedback at higher lean angles. And seat of the pants, feel better in the wet.Something I have noticed with Z rated tires......they feel much lighter weight wise than H or V rated tires. I think this is to reduce heat at higher speeds. Consequently, they have less rubber depth on the actual carcass. They will rapidly wear through to... 5/5 Larry B. Careful Who You Buy From

3/5 Steve (Florida) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Continental ContiMotion Sport/Touring Motorcycle Tire Front 120/70-17 (Automotive) I wanted to write a seller review not a product review but I guess you can only go back so far in the history to review a seller. ??? I bought one of these from MASS Depot in July and the tire is showing dry rot cracks already!! I only have about 500 miles on it. (I haven't been able to ride much the last few months...) I'm in FL and the bike is garage kept and not exposed to the elements so I'd say that the clearly sold me an old outdated tire that should have been scrapped.Aside from the cracks in the sidewall I like the tire just fine. Not the tire's fault, I think it was just too old to be sold but these guys are selling them anyway. I know I know, why mark down a PRODUCT review when it's the seller you're concerned with right? I thought maybe a few of you would look at a 3 star review and I could warn you to be cautious. I just contacted the seller. If they do anything about the situation, I'll edit this and let you know. 5/5 reg - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Continental ContiMotion Sport/Touring Motorcycle Tire Front 120/70-17 (Automotive) I've been running these on my commuter for 15k now, took almost 2 fronts and 2.5 rears to get there. Just a well made tire for a good price. Mounts easy and I never had to add balance weight as long as the light spot (marked with yellow dot) gets mounted @ valve stem. They do make the bike handle well from the start and stay that way to the "maybe I better change that" Unlike some of the other bargain long lasting tires won't. I'll be buying more until?PS!! I DO NEED TO HAVE A RIDING COURSE FROM THOSE THAT GET 13K MILES ON ANY SPORT TOURING TIRE. "WOW" Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 25, 2015

Excellent tire for the price and consistent performance and results over the past 8 years and 70k miles

5/5 sceneIT? - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Kenda Cruiser K671 Motorcycle Street Tire - 150/70H-17 (Automotive) April 2017:Got another 11028 miles out this tire which was installed in March 2016. Started to get heavy vibrations at higher interstate speeds. Decided to replace this before it gets ripped like the last one. Added some more pictures.March 2016:Been running the K671 in 150/70-17 for the past 70k miles and am getting consistently 9-11K miles out of them depending on the season. They usually wear quicker in the winter and get worn down around 9k miles. Summer sets usually last me over 10k with the last set showing metal and actually de laminating and ripping at 11.3K. Ive been pushing this time a bit too far.Grip is excellent and rain traction is a dream. Cannot go wrong with this on a Suzuki V-Strom or BMW 650cs.A dead giveaway on the tire going is that they get really wobbly and shaky. The DOT code on the tire received in March 2016 was 3515 Meaning it was produced in the 35th (August) week of 2015 which isn't bad., March 23, 2016

This review is from: Kenda Cruiser K671 Motorcycle Street Tire - 170/80H-15 (Automotive) People give me all kinds of negativity about Kenda, but I've used them before and haven't had any reason to give negative feed back on them. They wear no worse than the expensive brands and they handle as good as the best of them at a very reasonable price. Just can't see spending the big bucks when they have to be changed every couple years because of wear and or weather cracking. Can't be too safe when it comes to two wheels. Good OEM replacement

4/5 William Morris - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Kenda Cruiser K671 Motorcycle Street Tire - 130/70H-17 (Automotive) These tires are firm but still soft enough to grip the pavement with confidence. However, since these tires are harder you have to be very patient with the top coat wearing off after installing the tire. It a few hundred miles before I was confident in them staying planter over white lines when taking tighter right hand turns. This tire could easily last longer than the OEM tire that comes on your bike if this fits it while still performing as good fi not slightly better.
