    Great Tire Great Value

0 5/5 Dave (Michigan) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Shinko 712 Rear Tire - 130/90H-16/-- I have used this Brand and model tire before, this will be my third tire for my third Interstate motorcycle. I have tried other brands (Bridgestone, Dunlop) and they seem to last just as long if not longer then the more expensive brands. I ride hard and fast from state to state and have used this tire in rain and sleet, it handles great. My current bike is a Honda Custom touring bike. On a previous Interstate bike I put on a little over 8,000 miles before I sold it and it still had plenty of meat left. Good cornering, good ride, I rate this as a good value. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 6, 2011

    Worth more than I paid

I have been an avid biker for over 30 years and have been through a lot of tires. 95% of those that claim to be "high mileage" end up being no better than any other. Truth be know is that there is NO holy grail when it comes to tires. Bottom line is there are three factors that determine tire wear/life, and that's rider & cargo weight, riding style and the bike itself. Of course any tire will last longer on a lightweight jap bike than it would on a Harley as I have (and I weigh 274 lbs). Proper inflation is also a key to tire wear. So unless the reviewer reveals some or all of this info, take it with a spoon of salt. I have purchased numerous brands and they have lasted almost the same (4500-5500 mi). This tire is no exception but for one thing, and that is the price. DEFINITELY a bargain. Delivery was way fast (3 days ahead of schedule). Tread pattern is good looking and functional. Wears evenly and is well balanced. Out preforms tires 3 times the price. Will definitely... 5/5 Mike frady - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Very pleased and will buy again

0 5/5 Doug "Doug" (TX USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Shinko 712 Rear Tire - 130/90H-16/-- I bought front and rear Shinko 712s for my 1988 Honda NX250. They spooned on just fine and balanced easily. After scuffing them in for about 100 miles, they have performed better than I expected. They are quiet and smooth and hold the road really well in corners. I commute 350 miles per week and have been caught in several rain storms since I installed these tires. After the first wet road, I have total confidence in them. The only tire I have had handle the rain as well as these were my Metzler 880s on my Goldwing. The next bike in the stable that needs tires is the Ninja and I'll be putting Shinkos on it as well! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , July 21, 2012

0 5/5 tyler stradtman - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Michelin Commander II Motorcycle Tire Cruiser Rear - 180/65-16 81H (Automotive) I bought a front(130/70/18) and rear (180/65/16) set for my 2010 street glide. what a fantastic tire. the handling compared to the stock dunlops is phenomenal. they rode better, and they lasted much longer too. the front tire wore out first after ~18000 miles. the rear lasted until the end of the trip, 21000 miles. they handled great all the way until the end. they survived rain, ice, dirt, and mud. i wouldnt recommend mud or ice, but it does great in the rain. they were sticky all the way until my footboards were scraping. probably further if i couldve done it(i tried, the brackets on the footboard dont appreciate it. so after two months, 21000 miles, 48 states, and part of canada these tires are highly recommended for anybody looking to do long rides. i wont put any other tire on mine as long as its still in one piece 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , September 25, 2013

    A Worthy Tire

I ride a 2007 Honda VT1100, bought brand new in the box in 2008. The factory Bridgestones died after 6200 miles. Actually the cord was showing on the back tire, a little, I hadn't caught it because the Michelin's I ran on my Goldwing routinely gave me 9500 miles so I was caught short, surprised, by the abysmal tire life on this light a bike. I crossed the Bridgestone brand of tires off my list of replacement tires. I checked the VT forums and settled on a Shinko rear tire to try out as a sleeper, a cheaper than brand name and better tire. I ordered my first one in 2009. I just ordered my third one today. The first one ran me about 10,000 miles, I ran it until the tread was gone in the center, still had good rubber but was slick. I replaced it at 16,800 miles with the current tire, I just turned over 25,004 miles and the rear tire still has tread left in the center. I ride to and from work, about 28 miles a day. I'm getting 10,000 miles out of these "cheap" tires... 5/5 D.K. - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Greatest tire ever!

I have a complete set of these to replace my bald front tire and squared, ancient rear tire on my 2007 Kawasaki ZZR600. I can't review them as a pair, so each product page will get the same review. You should always replace tires as a matched set anyway. Amazon shipped these INCREDIBLY quickly, all the way out to Maui within just a few days after clicking "confirm". It was by far the fastest shipment I've ever received, all at no extra cost thanks to Amazon Prime! The tires themselves arrived bundled together with straps and I was initially alarmed at the exposure they faced, but an extremely careful inspection yielded no evidence of damage or flaws caused by either shipping or manufacturing. The sidewalls are extremely tough, yet supple enough to permit mounting without resorting to anything extreme. They went on the bike without any surprises, and a quick check for static balance showed no sticky weights were required - spot-on!The tread design is... 5/5 h7886 (Maui, HI) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great Ride

0 5/5 Dustin Pankonien - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Michelin Pilot Road 3 Motorcycle Tire Sport/Touring Front 120/70-17 (Automotive) Bought these tires after reading many, many reviews. Was a little uneasy after looking at them as they looked to be more of an ATV tire once received compared to the sport bike tires that I had on the R1. After installing them and breaking them in for the first 500 miles took them on a road trip and I think these are the tires that I'm going to stick with for the life of the bike. I've ridden on dunlaps, pirelli as well as a few others and for a highway ride these are what I prefer. They do make a little more noise, like a car tire would. And at first I looked back thinking there was a car right up on me a time or two. But they ride very well. Also if you lay on the throttle when it has been raining you can def tell when you go from the harder rubber to the softer. So be careful out there. It just might send you for a loop if your not careful. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , February 10, 2013
