Affordable tire package for the masses

I have been through several brands and types of tires for multiple streetbikes over the years. I bought this Conti-Motion 120/70 and 180/55 combo for my 2001 Aprilia Mille as I was looking for an inexpensive set of tires for street use only. While I have only logged about 500 miles on these Continentals so far, I feel fairly confident in their abilities. I'm no Rossi and I certainly don't try to ride like him (especially on the street), but these tires combine a good dosage of predictable grip, sidewall flex and stability in a very affordable package. It's common to spend more on a single rear tire than for this front and rear package! For the money I'm very happy with the performance these tires provide me. These aren't hypersport tires and they're not marketed as such and shouldn't be pushed as hard. But for a daily commuter tire on a sportbike that gets flogged a little bit every now and then they're working good so far. I'll report back later once the tread... 4/5 JC in NC - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Surprisingly aggressive performance for the street rider

I own and ride several older model sport bikes, change my own tires with a modified Harbor Freight manual unit and a few specialized tire tools. Started using these tires 3 years ago and have had no issues with out of round I read in another review. They balance up readily. My Ducati 996, a 2000 with 180 rear, is on it's second set, getting 3,000 miles of aggressive county road cornering from the first set. My GSXR 750s, a 1998 with 190 rear and a 2003, 180 rear, both run these tires and get the same millage. My Suzuki TL1000R is a bit harder on 190 rear tires (torque monster) getting about 2000 to 2500 on the rears. I don't do track days, but ride with friends that are also aggressive street riders and our area has great country roads with little population and good mix of twisties and straights. Our riding consists of a typical pace of 80 mph with blasts of 160+. We ALWAYS warm up for several miles with stripe to stripe back and forths before upping the pace. I have... 5/5 Roger M. Jahn (N. The tires seem excellent so far. (Only a hundred or so miles on them) I was surprised how sticky they were after reading some of the other reviews saying they were a bit hard. They are not. You can easily dig your finger nail into them. They are a little slow on turn in and transition because they are flatter than a race tire, but they stick well, hold your intended line and inspire confidence in the corners. They also ride very smooth. I put these on my Buell XB9R and would absolutely use them again. It will be interesting to see how long they go. 5/5 tyler stradtman - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Michelin Commander II Motorcycle Tire Cruiser Rear - 180/65-16 81H (Automotive) I bought a front(130/70/18) and rear (180/65/16) set for my 2010 street glide. what a fantastic tire. the handling compared to the stock dunlops is phenomenal. they rode better, and they lasted much longer too. the front tire wore out first after ~18000 miles. the rear lasted until the end of the trip, 21000 miles. they handled great all the way until the end. they survived rain, ice, dirt, and mud. i wouldnt recommend mud or ice, but it does great in the rain. they were sticky all the way until my footboards were scraping. probably further if i couldve done it(i tried, the brackets on the footboard dont appreciate it. so after two months, 21000 miles, 48 states, and part of canada these tires are highly recommended for anybody looking to do long rides. i wont put any other tire on mine as long as its still in one piece Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , September 25, 2013

    What an incredible difference

5/5 Paul E. Dulin (Waco, TX USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Michelin Commander II Reinforced Motorcycle Tire Cruiser Rear - 140/90-16 (Automotive) This is the same review I wrote on the front Michelin Commander II tire. I replaced a set of almost new Dunlap D402s with these incredible tires. They eliminated the tire related issues I was having. I have a 2004 FLHRi Road King. I was experiencing tracking and handling issues with the Dunlap tires. Now with the Michelins, it is like riding a new motorcycle. No more tracking issues on the back roads of Texas with the parallel road cracks and tar strips. Even the handling on hard pack gravel roads is great and I wouldn't attempt to ride gravel with the other tires. The Michelin tires exceed my highest expectations and I will never ride on anything else. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 1, 2013

... Heritage Classic (130/90-16 on the front) and I’m so glad I chose these tires

5/5 Dandie - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Michelin Commander II Reinforced Motorcycle Tire Cruiser Front 130/90-16 (Automotive) I installed a pair of these on my ’12 Heritage Classic (130/90-16 on the front) and I’m so glad I chose these tires! I feel like I have much better control than I had with the stock Harley (Dunlap) tires…stable, quiet, smooth and priced right. This tire simply ignores any grooves or cracks in the road. My confidence is improved on mountain passes and questionable road surfaces. My bike is more fun to ride now! This is a no-brainer folks. You’ll be glad you chose these tires.Update: I put 17,000 miles on the rear tire and it's about time to order a new Commander ll. That's more than twice the miles I got out of the stock Dunlap. Still love these tires! Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , August 10, 2014

This review is from: Kenda K657 Challenger Street Tire - 100/90H19 FRT (Automotive) Bought a pair of these for a Harley Sportster to try out. Have been a big fan of more expensive name brands tires over the years but thought I'd give them a shot after reading rave reviews on them all over the internet. I'm a certified bike mechanic & have mounted a ton of tires over the years. These went on easy, were so close to being perfectly balanced once mounted that I didn't even bother & are H rated seem to run true down the road, I hope I don't end up regretting the purchase but so far these stack quite well for the price. If I get 6-8 K on them i'll be happy. Very nice tire for the price

This is the second Kenda tire I have put on my bike. First one came, mounted up without a hitch and looked good. Took it for a ride and noticed a slow speed wobble. Put the bike up on the center stand, spun the tire and found a bulge on one side of the tire. I re-mounted it three times but the bulge remained. RMA'ed the tire back to JR Graham and waited patiently. They cross shipped the replacement but had a snafu and shipped a front tire instead of the back one. Contacted them again and got it straightened out. After 2 weeks of no riding I finally got the replacement tire and mounted it up. This one rode fine.JR Graham was great on sending out the replacements and all but it would have been nice to have gotten a good tire set the first time. The Kenda tires ride very nicely. My Yamaha Venture is quicker to turn now than on the Dunlop 491's that were on the bike before. Some might say the bike is twitchy now but I think it's easier handling and more... 5/5 TomK - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This is the second Kenda tire I have put on my bike. I installed thesew on my Honda Ace and what a differtence these tires made. I was running Dunlops 404 which i completely hated! Kendas is really a good tire and at the price why wouldnt you buy them? I read somne reviews about tire being bouncy etc. Well i havent had any issue as far as bouncy on the road. They ARE SMOOTH and can really handle some cornering. I cant say anything about rain but will update once i can. If your looking for a greatr tire at a really good price then Buy Kenda cause why waste money on a tire just for its name? Kenda tires are made in the same plant as Avon for those who didnt know that. Best buy for my Bike next to my mustang seat that is :) ** Update*** been caught in two big rain storms and these tires handle Superbly! I am now and will be a kenda Motorcycle tire buying man! Second set on my Harley

5/5 Harleyjoe - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Michelin Commander II Reinforced Motorcycle Tire Cruiser Rear - 130/90-16 (Automotive) This is my very first review of anything i've purchased on here. I felt these tires deserved one. This is the second set that i've installed on my 2007 Harley FLHTCU, and i couldn't be happier. I wanted to wait until i rode these to the wear limit before reviewing. They are the absolute best handling tires i've every owned, and prior to these i've used the OEM Dunlops exclusively. Never got more than 9000 miles on rear and 20,000 on the front. The Michelin still has tread left on them at 15000 miles on the rear, and 25000 miles on the front. The only reason i'm changing them now is that i've got a 2000 mile trip planned and didn't want to trust 2 year old tires for it. I've got absolutely no complaints on the Michelin tires. The handle and feel great, and they wear like iron.. Highly recommend. And the plus side, is you can get them on Amazon cheaper than the OEM tires. Just got back from a 1,200 mile trip and love these tires. I have ran Avon Venom and Metzler me880 for years. I wanted a tire that would last longer as the previously mentioned tires wear out in the center too quick(4,000 miles top) even with faithful air pressure maintenance. I went through torrential down pours, rough alpine roads(Silverton,CO) and they didn't let me down once. Smooth running, water displacing, road gripping performance from a manufacturer at the top of the market. Get these tires now! Very good commuter

I've put about 1500 miles on a set of the 009s. So far so good. I purchased these tires based on good user reviews, estimated life expectancy, and price. I ride a G650Xmoto, weighs in around 350 lbs, and the tires work very well. I haven't scraped any hard parts, but I have gotten all the way to the edge of the tire. I'm sure a more experience rider could get a little more out of them, but I feel like I've reached their limit. If you really want to push yourself, and your bike, you'll probably want something more aggressive, but for a commuter tire that's supposed to get around 10k miles before replacement, I'm very happy.Pros:- Longevity. After 1500 miles, I see no real sign of wear.- Dual-sport like traction. While not a race tire, the tread pattern has done very well on gravel, and I imagine it would handle dirt, and maybe even a little sand, quite well.- Price. A solid set of tires for under $200 ??!!??Cons:- Warm-up time. These do take a while... 4/5 Rachel H (Denver, CO) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) wedding, custom, customizable, biker, bikers,
Tough but sweet, this wedding invitation was made with the biker couple in mind. Part of the back tire of a motorcycle with chrome tailpipe and fender shows at the edge of the invitation as it rides off the side. A white, lacy veil blows in the wind behind the bike. Flames trail behind as the couple speeds off for their life together. All customizable text can easily be changed to suit your own needs. From my original digitally created image.
