survived a 21000 mile road trip!!

5/5 tyler stradtman - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Michelin Commander II Motorcycle Tire Cruiser Rear - 180/65-16 81H (Automotive) I bought a front(130/70/18) and rear (180/65/16) set for my 2010 street glide. what a fantastic tire. the handling compared to the stock dunlops is phenomenal. they rode better, and they lasted much longer too. the front tire wore out first after ~18000 miles. the rear lasted until the end of the trip, 21000 miles. they handled great all the way until the end. they survived rain, ice, dirt, and mud. i wouldnt recommend mud or ice, but it does great in the rain. they were sticky all the way until my footboards were scraping. probably further if i couldve done it(i tried, the brackets on the footboard dont appreciate it. so after two months, 21000 miles, 48 states, and part of canada these tires are highly recommended for anybody looking to do long rides. i wont put any other tire on mine as long as its still in one piece Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , September 25, 2013

    What an incredible difference

5/5 Paul E. Dulin (Waco, TX USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Michelin Commander II Reinforced Motorcycle Tire Cruiser Rear - 140/90-16 (Automotive) This is the same review I wrote on the front Michelin Commander II tire. I replaced a set of almost new Dunlap D402s with these incredible tires. They eliminated the tire related issues I was having. I have a 2004 FLHRi Road King. I was experiencing tracking and handling issues with the Dunlap tires. Now with the Michelins, it is like riding a new motorcycle. No more tracking issues on the back roads of Texas with the parallel road cracks and tar strips. Even the handling on hard pack gravel roads is great and I wouldn't attempt to ride gravel with the other tires. The Michelin tires exceed my highest expectations and I will never ride on anything else. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 1, 2013

Affordable tire package for the masses

I have been through several brands and types of tires for multiple streetbikes over the years. I bought this Conti-Motion 120/70 and 180/55 combo for my 2001 Aprilia Mille as I was looking for an inexpensive set of tires for street use only. While I have only logged about 500 miles on these Continentals so far, I feel fairly confident in their abilities. I'm no Rossi and I certainly don't try to ride like him (especially on the street), but these tires combine a good dosage of predictable grip, sidewall flex and stability in a very affordable package. It's common to spend more on a single rear tire than for this front and rear package! For the money I'm very happy with the performance these tires provide me. These aren't hypersport tires and they're not marketed as such and shouldn't be pushed as hard. But for a daily commuter tire on a sportbike that gets flogged a little bit every now and then they're working good so far. I'll report back later once the tread... 4/5 JC in NC - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) These make me ride like Valentino Rossi!

Oh these are the best tires in the world and they make me ride just like Rossi! You have to get a set for yourself and all the street riding you do so you can be just like Valentino Rossi too!!!! Ok lets be real now , so you need tires for your bike and you are looking for reviews to make sure you are not buying junk. You are not buying junk. I am guessing you have also priced other tires and you realize that you are getting amazing bang for your buck right? You do not really think that you are buying track worthy tires for competitive racing for under $300 which is double the price do you ? These tires are great if you ride your motorcycle and are tired of spending big bucks every time those soft sticky sport tires need to be changed which seems like a very short time even if you don't ride hard. These tire wear nicely according to your riding and will last much longer then the more expensive tires I have had. 5/5 mike - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Fasmov 12"Tire Iron Set Irons Changing Tool Kit,Set of 3 Not bad, did the job. I was able to change a 12" motocross tire, which is darn near impossible anyways. Irons flexed a little, I could have definitely bent them if I want to. But they were just strong enough to change the tire. Also was able to put a new tube in the tire and not pop it, yay! I did cut the old tire off, and I used dish soap to help with the new tire. In the end, it was worth the money, and I'm able to use them again. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , December 8, 2016

These turned out pretty good. There are a few of these kits ...

Bought for motorcycles and scooters. These turned out pretty good. There are a few of these kits on Amazon - 2 or 3 pieces. This was the first kit with 3 that was priced close to the ones with 2. So it seems like a good value. The 3rd one is useful in some cases. I think it would be nice if the tire irons were more spoon-like , such as the actual tire spoons that are available, but these do the job. I had a pair of 24 inch irons from Harbor Freight - but they were too big for motorcycle and scooter. This size is just right and provides plenty of leverage. Some people say - why waste your time mounting your own tires when you can have it done for $15 to $25. Well in my area - one shop does the job for $15 a tire (gets a $5 tip added) but the other shops charge $50. Seriously? It takes at least an hour door to door just to bring in the tire and wheel to be mounted. This process takes maybe 15 minutes for the same thing (after getting the hang of it). So you save time. 5/5 sceneIT? - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Kenda Cruiser K671 Motorcycle Street Tire - 150/70H-17 (Automotive) Been running the K671 in 150/70-17 for the past 70k miles and am getting consistently 9-11K miles out of them depending on the season. They usually wear quicker in the winter and get worn down around 9k miles. Summer sets usually last me over 10k with the last set showing metal and actually de laminating and ripping at 11.3K. Ive been pushing this time a bit too far.Grip is excellent and rain traction is a dream. Cannot go wrong with this on a V-Strom or 650cs.A dead giveaway on the tire going is that they get really wobbly and shaky. The DOT code on the tire received in March 2016 was 3515 Meaning it was produced in the 35th (August) week of 2015 which isn't bad., March 23, 2016

So far I have only put about 1k miles on the Kendas, but those 1k miles have been great. It has improved my handling and cornering abilities greatly. Before with my Dunlops, I was always weary of taking turns fast and hard, but these have gave me back the confidence to go faster on my bike. :) Also the ride is smooth and quiet so far. I would highly recommend this for all bikes. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , October 29, 2013

This review is from: Kenda Cruiser K671 Motorcycle Street Tire - 170/80H-15 (Automotive) People give me all kinds of negativity about Kenda, but I've used them before and haven't had any reason to give negative feed back on them. They wear no worse than the expensive brands and they handle as good as the best of them at a very reasonable price. Just can't see spending the big bucks when they have to be changed every couple years because of wear and or weather cracking. Can't be too safe when it comes to two wheels. Very good commuter

I've put about 1500 miles on a set of the 009s. So far so good. I purchased these tires based on good user reviews, estimated life expectancy, and price. I ride a G650Xmoto, weighs in around 350 lbs, and the tires work very well. I haven't scraped any hard parts, but I have gotten all the way to the edge of the tire. I'm sure a more experience rider could get a little more out of them, but I feel like I've reached their limit. If you really want to push yourself, and your bike, you'll probably want something more aggressive, but for a commuter tire that's supposed to get around 10k miles before replacement, I'm very happy.Pros:- Longevity. After 1500 miles, I see no real sign of wear.- Dual-sport like traction. While not a race tire, the tread pattern has done very well on gravel, and I imagine it would handle dirt, and maybe even a little sand, quite well.- Price. A solid set of tires for under $200 ??!!??Cons:- Warm-up time. These do take a while... 4/5 Rachel H (Denver, CO) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great tire so far

5/5 Mr187drama - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Shinko 009 Raven Radial Rear Tire - 170/60ZR-17 Fast shipping and looks great on my 05 mean streak. Wish I had ordered the 200/55/17 but I didn't think it would fit. Anyways ordered this tire to replace my worn out Dunlop sportmax. I saved about $30 by ordering the shinko. I ordered because a friend told me that he had put 12,000 miles on his shinko raven. I only got about 4,000 with the Dunlop. So I figured I'd give the shinko a try and save a few dollars. I haven't noticed any different feeling or handling as I ride. So 5 stars for now. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , July 1, 2013

Surprisingly good performance for a low-cost tire

4/5 Yossarian - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Shinko 009 Raven Radial Tire 120/70ZR17 Front 87-4041 I was forced to replace my rear tire while on a tour on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I was limited to what I could find within about 20-30 miles, and the Shinko 009 Raven was the only option (and in a too-small 180/55-17 for my 2008 Kaw C14). After a bit of break in I realized what a great tire the 009 was...and even liked the "shorter wheelbase" kinda feel of the smaller tire. So when the front went, I decided to try one. It works great for me; does everything I want it to do performance wise (and I do scrape the pegs from time to time), is great in the rain (which worked out this past season), and so far the rear has worn very well. Not too rough over bumps, not too bad a tendency to follow rain grooves. I never thought I'd like a Shinko tire, coming from Pirellis and Avons, but why pay more? To impress? These tires do everything I ask of them, and last well in the process. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , October 7, 2013

1/5 Steven McCune - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) I purchased this product april of this year and owning these tires till this month, they began to dry rot and crack on side wall and tread of tire which was pointed out by a harley davidson dealership which drawn concerned and they also informed me that they tires was outdated. I contacted seller which is motorcycle superstore and have had nothing but a giant run around of excuses and and walls and they refuse to handle and fix the problem. I sent them several emails including pictures of tires, and i recieved no response until i call them and chase them on the matter. I told them I had them installed on my harley which they have advertised that they are for and claim that dunlop says that they are not meant for my bike. Terrible business practices, customer relations and most of all a bad taste in my mouth about this store. I DO NOT RECOMMEND them for anything and WILL not purchase from them again.
