Match those batteries with the correct application for best results

The Energizer L91 Lithium AA cell is a fantastic power source. For high-drain applications, it offers great advantages over ordinary alkaline cell and rechargeable NiMH cell. However, it is also very expensive as a disposable battery. So it is important to recognize the strength of L91, and use it only in applications that give you the best results. Otherwise you'll be wasting your money.According to data sheet published by Energizer, the capacity of the Lithium AA cell (L91) is 3000mAh. This number remains nearly constant with load current. In comparison, the ordinary Alkaline battery (such as the ) is rated as 2800mAh, but only at a very light load of 25mA. At a heavy load of 1000mA (typical for a digital camera or flash unit), its capacity drops to below 1000mAh. This number gets even worse at low temperature... 5/5 NLee the Engineer (Nashua, NH) - See all my reviews, January 1, 2008

Lithium AA batteries are NOT the same as Lithium-ion Rechargeable

[Updated on June 8, 2011]Note: Amazon has moved two of my previous reviews (one for Energizer Lithium AA 4-pack, one for 8-pack) under one page. Therefore I have to update my review to add some new information - or else I look like a fool who says the same thing twice.=== New information follows ===There seems to be some confusion about those Energizer Lithium AA batteries. Several people have bought those batteries under the assumption that they are rechargeable, only to be disappointed later.Despite the name 'Lithium', those Energizer Lithium AA batteries are very different from the commonly known 'Lithium-ion' rechargeable batteries. Namely:- They are single-use batteries (NOT rechargeable like Li-ion)- The terminal voltage for each cell is around 1.65V (compared to around 3.7V for each Li-ion rechargeable cell)The two types of batteries are not compatible. If your camera accepts AA cells, then you should use... 5/5 NLee the Engineer (Nashua, NH) - See all my reviews, January 1, 2008

    Long-lasting

As a student who is very involved in clubs and organizations, I always want to have my digital camera at hand to capture unforgettable moments with my friends or the places that I visit. When it comes to cameras, digital cameras are the worst with battery power. When I first got my camera, the pair of double A batteries that came with it only lasted an hour. I then bought a brand new pack later, and those also were unusable within 60 minutes. This was going to be a major problem. I bought a pack of special Olympus Lithium batteries (very expensive and hard to find at the time) which lasted, at max, two and a half weeks. Finally, I found a pack of Energizer Lithium batteries. I stuck them in my camera and expected them to last about five days. To my surprise, this pack of four batteries lasted me a whole month of road trips and hang-outs. These batteries are long-lasting, reliable, very light, and inexpensive. I was very satisfied... 5/5 Rebecca Hatfield (Missouri) - See all my reviews This review is from: Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA Batteries, World's Highest-Energy AA Battery, 8 count (Health and Beauty) As a student who is very involved in clubs and organizations, I always want to have my digital camera at hand to capture unforgettable moments with my friends or the places that I visit. Excellent Battery

I purchased this to have a backup for when I was conducting long shoots. I have found that I typically do not use both batteries on most shoots. Actually, I've found that I will fill up 40gb worth of SDHC cards before I switch out batteries when I'm shooting RAW+JPG on my .Nikon gives a couple of different ratings for how many shots you can get on a full charge with this battery.Testing according to the CIPA standard show this battery can take 1,050 shots on a single charge. Under these test conditions the room temperature is 73.4 degrees Fahrenheit (+/- 3.6 degrees). A Nikon 18-105mm lens is used. The focus is moved from infinity to minimum focus and a shot is taken every 30 seconds. The on board Speedlight flash is fired every other shot. Believe these batteries may be counterfeit

I own a photographic agency and we own six Nikon D800 cameras. We also own 24 Nikon OEM EN-EL15 batteries.I bought two of these batteries from Amazon via a store called "Kellards" for in car use at the Daytona 24 Hour race. The batteries came in OEM appearing packaging. Both batteries have failed in less than a month of use. 24 batteries and only these two batteries (we date and mark every battery purchase with labels on the bottoms of each battery) stopped working in less than a month and after TWO charges cycles! TWO. Both will not take a charge and completely have stopped working. Dead. Zero power. As, noted, we have 22 other OEM Nikon EN-EL-15's that have never had an issue in 12-20 months, with 50-120 charges each, I am heavily inclined to believe these are counterfeit. No proof, but we've been shooting with Nikon for a decade plus and have owned over 150 camera batteries and 600+ Nikon OEM batteries and have never had a problem. Best protected batteries for the money.

I was sent these 18650 batteries to use in a 1000 lumen flashlight. I have been satisfied with Outlite from the moment I received them. Be sure to check out the pictures as they correspond to my review.First off, the quality of shipping was awesome. The shipping/packaging materials provided secure shipping. The shipping was also very fast. Before I knew it, the package was on my doorstep.Immediately after unboxing, I tested the voltage. One was 3.76 and the other was 3.75. This means the batteries come pre-charged.What sold me on these batteries were fact that they have overcharge/discharge protection and priced well below other brands.I operated the flashlight for a consecutive hour on its highest setting and the battery didn't begin to show signs of discharge. After the first hour, I immediately removed the battery and tested the temperature with a laser thermometer. To my surprise the battery wasn't even slightly hot. Great batteries for a cheap price!

I was extremely satisfied when I received these batteries because they were exactly what I expected them to be. The batteries and the charger came in a box that was very attractive and safe. Shipping was incredibly fast, as it took only one day for the flashlights to arrive. I use these batteries in 900 lumen outlite flashlights and they work very well. The batteries have overcharge and discharge protection, so I can leave it in the charger for long periods of time without worrying about saving the batteries’ life. The batteries arrives charged and I was able to use them in the flashlight for 3 hours on high and continuously. The batteries do not get hot or overheat at all as well. When you charge the batteries, there are lights on the charger that turn green if the batteries are charged, and are red if they are not charged. The charger also has a fairly long cord that you can fold up as well.I operated the flashlight for a consecutive hour on its highest... 5/5 Gracie - See all my reviews, February 3, 2016

5/5 Amazon Consumer - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) It charges, it fits, and it lasts for many, many pictures. Very happy with this battery Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , April 8, 2014

Always buy an extra battery for your camera body and always buy OEM!

When you buy a camera body (I just purchased a Nikon D5300, my 7th Nikon), it will include a battery, usually a rechargeable one. I recommend immediately buying a replacement battery. Charge both batteries. Keep one in the camera body until it becomes low on power. Then install your other, previously-charged battery and put the drained battery in your charger as soon as practical. This may seem like common sense, but imagine how disappointed you will be if you are shooting photos and your only battery runs down. Even if you happen to be near your charger and a source of electricity, you will have to wait several minutes or many minutes before you can resume shooting. If you are serious about your photography, you do not want to ever be unable to shoot because of something like a dead battery (or a full memory card or, for those of you still addicted to film, no more rolls of film in your bag!). Spend the money for an extra battery immediately after or at the same time as your... 5/5 J. B. Malone (Columbia, CT USA) - See all my reviews, March 22, 2014

Poor battery, and not for high current applications.

I purchased two sets of Ultrafire 18650 3000mAh batteries with charger. The included charger works well for travel needs but does not seem to have two independent charging channels, as there is only one charge status LED. It works well enough for casual use with inexpensive cells in my collection, but a higher quality charger such as the Pila IBC is a good investment if you get serious and want the most out of your more expensive 18650 batteries. My only complaint is these batteries after being freshly charged cut out under a high load because of the protection circuit board which seems to be current limited to only around 2.5 Amps. For instance, when trying to drive a Ultrafire WF-502B or WF-501B flashlight with the 900 lumen Cree XML-T6 P60 LED drop-in on max power, it will only illuminate for a couple seconds and then cut off. Running it for a few minutes on medium power to partially drain the battery then allows it to run continuously on high power. I purchased these for a fenix tk 35 flashlight. Both batteries indicate fully charged in charger and charger shuts off. Works, but doesn't live up to claims

I purchased two sets of these batteries on different days from the seller "CREE Flashlight." The first set I received was defective -- the included battery charger LED turned went out after about a minute of being plugged in. I wasn't sure if the batteries were still being charged, so I pulled them off the charger and measured the voltage with my digital multi-meter. I plugged them back into the charger for an hour, and took another reading. One of the batteries remained the exact same, and the other actually lost .02 volts. I spoke with Amazon about getting a replacement and was asked to send this set back while another was shipped to me. I decided that I would keep the original set until I had the opportunity to compare them to the replacements (fully charged, of course) and would select the two best batteries from the set of four.I received the second set promptly (thanks, Amazon!) and put the batteries in the charger.
