This should be a good test. A satisfied customer

For a 2002 Highlander these instructions for programming the transponder key do work but you have to go thru the procedure at the right speed. Too fast or too slow and the key will not program. Took me 5 attempts to get the right pace to make it work. There are a LOT of instructions out there for programming the keys and they are very definitely year and model specific. Make sure you are using a procedure for your car.1. Simultaneously depress and release brake and accelerator pedals 1 time.2. Insert an original Master Key into the ignition but do not turn it.3. Within 15 seconds depress and release accelerator pedal 5 times.4. Within 20 seconds depress and release the brake pedal 6 times and remove key.5. Within 10 seconds insert New Key into ignition but do not turn it.6. Within 10 seconds depress and release the accelerator pedal 1 time.7. Now sit and wait for about one minute until the security light in the center console stops... 4/5 Amazon Customer (Connecticut USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: 2 KeylessOption Replacement Uncut Ignition Chipped Key Transponder Blank Compatible with Dot Chip For a 2002 Highlander these instructions for programming the transponder key do work but you have to go thru the procedure at the right speed. Installed in 2001 Grand am & works great!

This vehicle was intermittantly not starting with the ignition key and the security light would flash. Leaving the key in the ignition for 10 minutes with the igniton on would reset the security light and it would ~usually~ start. I ordered this part to hopefully fix the problem - and it did!Installation was pretty straight forward. Here is how I went about it - but you may find better instructions on youtube or other places on the internet. You're going to need an 8mm wrench (for battery connection), a small screwdriver or allen wrench(for igntion lock tab), trim pannel removal tools or a screwdriver etc for the trim pannels, a 7mm socket/rachet for the radio screws, and about 30 minutes of time to do this.Unhook battery. Remove plastic 'ring' around ignition switch. Remove radio/heater control trim pannel. Remove connectors to the TCS and the hazard switches at the top of the trim pannel. Place pannel out of the way. Purchased for 2004 Grand Am - works great

My Grand Am was having the problem with the ignition and passlock system that a lot of people have. It was obnoxious at first, but it actually progressed to the point that it was shorting the electrical system to a degree. It was getting undriveable. After some googling, it seems a lot of people have paid several hundred dollars to get this fixed with a mechanic. Kind of silly for something that's clearly a factory issue. So, I took a gamble here and decided to get it done myself.I was a little thrown off at first because the initial picture (since updated on the item itself) was of a Pontiac key and the one I received was a Chevrolet. I took off a star because I specifically purchased this key according to the fit and photo, and the current photo has carefully blurred the key too far to tell what brand it is (though it appears closest to Chevrolet). It doesn't affect the usability of the part at all, but it is kind of shady. I was a little nervous seeing this,... 4/5 Dantine - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Looking for a Smart Fob system? Look no further.

Let me start off by saying I have wanted the Smart Fob technology in my car for years, and while quite a few aftermarket kits have popped up, I was less than impressed by the credit card-sized remotes, and wanted something a little more OEM-styled.Lo and behold came EasyGo with the Universal-R that combines a proximity sensor with remote start, push to start and a trunk button (not to be fooled with their AM-UNIVERSAL kit with the credit card fob and no remote start). I did a little research and found that the company has been in business since 2012, and their vendor/supplier is from China. I was pretty skeptical because their website didn't seem like it was ever updated. It didn't even mention the AM-UNIVERSAL-R as an available kit. Also, their list of EasyGo dealers are far from the truth. It appears as the web designer just took a list of Ford/Honda/Toyota/GM dealerships and stuck them in their page. Because of this, you'll really want to find an installer BEFORE you... 4/5 Mars "Marz" (San Francisco, CA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) It's ok

I have some concerns with the tech support and or replacement parts. Plus the quality may be an issue. I put this in my 87 hardbody replacing the viper remote start that took a dump after 10 years. The proximity entry is convenient and the push button start. Pretty easy to install if you know what you're doing. The instructions are extremely basic no details at all! There are a few misspellings as well. No siren output wire just a horn. Even though it's labeled siren on the diagram. You cannot program specific functions like a normal alarm. Would love to turn off the ignition lock function. It locks somewhere between 30 seconds to 2 minutes after you start the car. It's annoying and you can't turn this function off like with any other alarm. You are pretty much stuck with what you got. It does have an adjustable shock sensor. For the price I wouldn't do it again there are other options from reputable companies. No tech support as well. Asked a detailed question got a one word... 2/5 Mike C (San Diego ca) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Works with 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Cheap, yet quality product!!

I haven't had these for very long, but they are both working perfectly for my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. You need 2 working key FOBs to program these. I popped them open and the battery seems like its more sturdy than my old key (P/N 56038768AD). 2 things that are noticeably different from my old key: 1) the buttons don't "click" like they did on the old key, and 2) there is no screw holding the key fob together. Seems like not having a screw won't be that problematic though, because they are held together pretty well by the rubber inside. I have ordered some Silicon key covers to hold them together, just in case however. You need to get these cut before programming the key FOBs. I took mine to Home Depot, and the guy there was working a retirement job, put my old key in the machine, then the new key, and cut them free of charge!!All in all, these were way cheaper than buying them elsewhere, and I am glad I took a risk and saved some $$$ for... 5/5 Schnook - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?)
