4.75 Stars for an EZ AC Fix

I'm not an expert, so I really liked that the refilling process was simple.1. Wait until the weather outside is between 75F to 85F (because that's what temperature gauge was calibrated to(some other refrigerants have a variable weather adjustment, but not this company)).2. Turn your car on, set the AC to full blast and wait a few minutes.2. Screw the small end of the hose to the refrigerant can head.3. Attach the big end of the hose to the low side port by holding back the quick release of the hose and then letting go of it when the hose is on the port.4. Let the gauge measure the pressure. If your gauge is not working correctly, it's probably because your compressor is not spinning (it stops spinning when your car is really low on refrigerant). You need to add a bit of refrigerant at this point just to get a pressure reading.5. Take the blue cap off the can and spray for a couple minutes. Make sure to have the... 5/5 P - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Interdynamics MAC-134 EZ Chill Refrigerant Refill with Charging Hose and Gauge - 18 oz. Worked great with minor issue....

Got it today and put it right to use. The instructions on the can are completely sufficient to use the kit. My 2010 Honda Pilot had a problem (not uncommon with this system) where the clutch relay broke while the clutch was engaged causing the system to over pressurize releasing coolant from the pressure valve (what a racket!). Once I figured out the problem and replaced the $8 relay all was good except for just cool air out of the AC.The issue for me was that the decal on the inside of the pressure gauge was not flat so the needle inside stuck each time I added refrigerant. I had to release the valve from the LP side to get the needle to drop then reattach to read the current pressure. After a few times I smacked the gauge a few times with my finger and the needle started working well enough to use. Docking one star. When I started, the gauge read just below the green area indicating refrigerant was needed. I ended up using the entire can with the... 4/5 BigATC (N. Cal. Buy this Before you take it to a Mechanic! Save Money!

Wow this thing saved me over $150. My 2003 Nissan Altima was starting to blow hot air when the AC was cranked. I took it to a local AC repair place and they wanted $150 for them to refill the freyon. That was a bit too steep for me but it was summer and I needed it done. My friend told me about these canister to do it yourself. I purchased one and got it 2 days later. I hook it up to the AC valve in the engine of my car. There are 2 valves usually on the AC pipe inside the car and this will only fit on the correct one so there is no guessing involved. I read the instructions on the cannister and there is a gauge and it tells you how much you should put inside the car. Well I follwed the instructions and in 5 min I had cold freezing air coming from my AC again!!!!! I was so happy and now its been over 4 years and i still have Cold air coming from my ac. Highly recoommend this product! Save yourself so money and try this first if you are having AC... 5/5 Eric Morales - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) It did what I needed it to do

5/5 Amazon Customer - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: ARKSEN© 4-Valve Dual Gauge Diagnostic Freon A/C Manifold Tester + 4CFM 1/3HP Vacuum Pump (Misc.) Be aware that this is not a kit that would be found in a professional HVAC service truck, but it did exactly what I needed it to do when I installed my own 3-ton AC system. I'm skilled enough, but I'm not going to be doing HVAC much more than this. For the price and knowing I would only be using it for one job, I couldn't find a better deal. Getting the right tools is key (this kit is just the beginning), but you need to do a lot of research, have a clear understanding and put a focused plan together before you are going to effectively use them. 2/5 Randall S. Hagin - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: ARKSEN© 4-Way Valve Manifold Gauge Diagnostic w/ Case + 5CFM 1/2HP Rotary Vauum Pump Set (Misc.) The Purchase was to service a R410A system and the connectors on the hoses provided will not hook up to a 410A system. The 410 adapters were either missing or not a part of the kit. Since there was no parts list or directions in the kit I cant make the judgment of which. I ended up hiring someone with the proper gages to service my system. Description indicates that the hose fittings are 1/4" but that is not entirely correct. One side is 1/4" but the other side is 5/16" which does not connect to standard HVAC units. Kit is completely worthless to me as I can't hook it up to my system. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , September 3, 2016
