    It works!

5/5 Federico - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: POR-15 49216 U.S. Standard Tank Sealer - 8 fl. oz. (Automotive) The first time didn't work..my fault, I didn't let it sit the 4 days required. The second time I put some inside the tank, some outside where the hole was. I think this is the best way to make sure it reaches it. Don't do it if the hole is somewhere you can see it: this product after it dries leaves a rough surface, bubbles,..not nice to see, but it's ok if it's underneath the tank!Follow the instructions: clean the tank properly, let it dry, put the product in, move the tank to let the product go where you want. Let it sit a few minutes, than move it again. Keep doing it for a few times. Let it sit 4 days. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , March 15, 2016

This stuff is great, just be careful.

5/5 Sam Cyanide - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: POR-15 49216 U.S. Standard Tank Sealer - 8 fl. oz. (Automotive) Worked like a charm after using muratic acid & some bolts in the tank plus some elbow grease to remove all the rust in my motorcycle's gas tank I coated the inside with POR-15 and I have no more rust and none in the lines. Just be careful you don't spill it on yourself or surroundings when opening the can, it doesn't come off easy. Good stuff. Outboard fuel tank

5/5 d - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: POR-15 49216 U.S. Standard Tank Sealer - 8 fl. oz. (Automotive) This stuff is really cool. It's not 2 part like an epoxy. Follow the directions and I think you will be alright. I used this on an aluminum johnson outboard tank. I had lots left over after coating the small tank, I think this could coat a few motorcycle tanks. This product is interesting, it swells slightly before it dries and ends up thicker. Make sure you protect the threads or the fuel cap because this stuff will stick and be hard to remove from threads. Perfect for a beginner or a pro

This is a 28 gallon tank and I only needed the 16 oz can. I'm restoring a 1967 M715 (Kaiser Jeep). I was ready to install the gas tank after having it pressure tested for leaks. There was a lot of rust on the inside of the tank. After asking around and doing some of my own research, I found POR. My brother, a mechanic, turned me onto it in the first place. I cleaned the tank a few times with muriatic acid, flushed the tank to neutralize the acid, then dried the inside of the tank with a heat gun. From there it was simple. I poured a little bit down the pick up tube and blew it through the to prevent clogging. Then I poured the rest into the tank and taped off the openings. From there I rotated the tank on each side to make sure I had coverage on every surface inside the tank. After I felt comfortable with the tank being completely coated I poured the excess out and let the tank dry for a few days. My only suggestion is to install a clear filter at the tank and another before the... 5/5 Melanie Speights - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Works as described and very simple to use and clean up.

5/5 Rachel Mackintosh (New England) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) I used this because it is the product that people swear by to restore vintage metal oil lanterns that have started to leak at the seams. It had a good consistency and was easy to use- After cleaning the tank with white vinegar and some small screws, rinsing, and drying, I just ladled it into the filler hole using a disposable funnel and swirled it around, then let cure for a week. No leaks! Another coat would probably be good but wasn't absolutely necessary. The ladle wiped clean and I just polished it up with some acetone afterwards. I'm happy with the ease of use, success of the project, and easy cleanup. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , September 30, 2015

    Best Tank Sealer Ever!

5/5 Michael M - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: POR-15 49208 U.S. Standard Tank Sealer (Automotive) Wow! The best tank liner I have ever used. I pulled out the dried film from the plastic container used to pour into the tank and it was incredably strong.Seems there is metal shavings (aluminum?) to fill holes. Poured in two coats with about 10 hours dry time between. Then let dry for three days before reinstalling tank. Gasoline does not affect the material in the tank at all. Used this tank sealer on my 14 year old HF pressure washer. The tank was so full of rust it looked like some filled it with mud. The float bowl was also full of rust. Once I got all the rust cleaned out via electrolysis neutralized with phosphiric acid, rinsed well with water and then poured in the tank sealer and brushed two coats to the interior of the float bowl. Everything works great! Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , June 13, 2016

This review is from: KBS Coatings 52000 Cycle Tank Sealer Kit (Automotive) Worked great to clean out my 1969 CB350 tank which had a decent amount of rust. Once the rust was gone, it was coated and looks brand new inside. I used this over a year ago and it is still in great shape. Takes a while to do it right, so make sure you have a day off for it and take your time to get a nice even coating all around. Watch videos online before attempting this yourself.
