0 1/5 BillBK - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Bell Sports 109512 Brake Fix Bicyle Cable Set Am I the only person who would think that when you buy a brake cable set for a bicycle, it would mean 2 cables - one for each brake. Product arrived and was only one cable. In addition, the product description was listed as: "Brake Fix Brake Cable Set, Double Ended Fits Most Common Bicycle Brakes, Easy To Install, Comes With Extra Ferrules & End Cap". Package did NOT come with extra ferrules & end cap. Not worth sending it back. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 22, 2013

0 4/5 Daniel V.Garrett - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Bell Sports 109512 Brake Fix Bicyle Cable Set These cables are truly tough to beat for the price. When fixin' up the neighbors kid's bicycle and they being a single parent who really can't afford to spend money on such things, especially when food & rent are the big worries for them and you can't afford to spring for those designer-type cables for 3 or 4 times as much you get'em these Bell cables. They work just great and make everyone concerned happy AND the kid will be safe again. And that's what its all about ain't it? 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , November 4, 2013

    Great Commuting Bike

I have around a 2 mile commute back and forth from home and work depending on my route with a total of 8 miles (including back and forth for lunch) and have waited a few months to write a review. So far I've put about 500 miles on this bike in the past 2 months. This bike is definitely solid. I had no problems with scratches, gouges, or striped pedals or anything like that during assembly. I haven't had a single problem with the inner tubes either, aside from the normal tire pressure drop after a couple weeks. I used to do this commute with a department store mountain bike and have made my ride extremely easier. The bike is pretty light from my experience of bikes, I haven't any top of the line road bikes or anything like that but for my purposes this thing is perfect. The paint does scratch when locking it against the a rack or having other bikes hit it but if your really nit picky about scratches, the only way your going to avoid scratching any bike is if you don't... 5/5 dTonaz - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Decent value, but be warned...

I'd really like to be able to write a more glowing review, but there are some serious ground floor issues with this bike, which, once taken care of, lead to a good commuter ride.First, I should mention that before buying this I shopped on line for quite a while. I really would have liked to have gotten one of the Bigshot bikes, but since I'm 5'11" and they don't make a 58 cm, there weren't any sizes from them I thought would be maximally comfortable in. Bikesdirect.com had some decent SS/fixies, but I don't like the curved fork on the Motobecane/Windsors or the fact that they only came with rear brakes. Plus I liked the thicker rims. The Vilanos looked cheap and places like State Bike seemed a little more expensive, so I went with the purefix which, at 325, was about 100 dollars less than state or bigshot. As other reviewers have noted, the Kenda Kwest tires are absolute garbage. I had the exact same problem as another guy with the tires popping off the rim... 3/5 David M Aleksic - See all my reviews This review is from: Pure Fix Cycles Fixed Gear Single Speed Urban Fixie Road Bike (Sports) I'd really like to be able to write a more glowing review, but there are some serious ground floor issues with this bike, which, once taken care of, lead to a good commuter ride.First, I should mention that before buying this I shopped on line for quite a while. Abused for six months... and counting

DELIVERY / DAY ONEProduct arrived in a box that looked like it got jumped by a rival gang. Surprisingly, the seat post clamp was the only thing damaged. I contacted the guys at Pure Fix and they had a replacement one en route the same day, no charge. Fresh out of the box, the Pure Fix logo sticker was already peeling. I had no problem with this as I had planned on removing them anyways. So... thumbs up for making that easier for me.BIKE / SIX MONTHS LATERTo preface, I'm 6'1", 230lbs. I reluctantly strapped this fragile looking bike, instead of my MTB, to the back of my SUV and took off on a road trip. This bike has seen the traffic of Atlanta/Miami/Austin/Dallas, the cobblestone roads of Charleston and Savannah, the sand and salt of Key West, and has jumped countless curbs/potholes/roadkill animals. I can honestly say I gave this bike a good thrashing and it has remained mechanically sound throughout all of this.I'm not sure how all... 4/5 Pure Fix Cycles, March 2, 2014

    Awesome.

0 5/5 jorge montelongo - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Pure Fix Cycles Untaped Bull Horn Handlebars (Sports) I ride my bike fixed gear, these handle bars are nice and sturdy, made a huge difference going from a riser bar to bullhorns. The bars themselves are finished very nicely (got the white ones) they look so good without tape on them I've just been riding them without the tape. Overall it is a very good product at a great price. I ride mostly urban areas and a few big hills here and there, i weigh about 170lbs and haven't felt anything in the bars suggesting they are weak especially when I hit my cadence going up a steep hill. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , March 18, 2013

I wasn't the fan of the original handle bars my bike came with, and these ones makes it way better and easier to ride. Unsatisfied. Bent dropouts, bent seatpost.

I'm giving this one star because in my 15+ years building BMX bikes and making the switch over to single speeds I've never seen a frame in this bad condition. I really tried hard to make a few things work, but after no luck I gave up and this will be sitting collecting dust.First the rear right dropouts were bent. Top portion of the dropout was bent outwards, while the bottom was straight. Which I would have been able to bend backwards, but the dropout opening must have not been welded on correctly because the opening would not allow the 3/8" axle to fit in. I measured it to be slightly under 1/4". After some filing of the drop out I finally was able to get the rear wheel on with some pressure to fit through the smaller opening after my modification. After all this work, the rear wheel wouldn't align straight. It would be centered between the seat stays, but off to the left on the chain stays. Something is starting to tell me I have a bent, or improperly welded... 1/5 Jason Gourley - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Pure Fix Cycle 54cm

I wanted to give this product a higher rating but several factors have held me back. When I placed an order for the frame, I selected the glow in the dark white. When the box arrived it was not sealed on the top, but thankfully everything was inside (this could be accounted to the courier though). I was dismayed when I discovered I was sent a matte black frame instead of what I ordered. I talked to Amazon and didn't want to go through the hassle of returning a frame, so I kept the matte black. For the price, I was still pretty pleased.I've been building the bike up recently and when I went to put on calipers I was again upset to realize that the frame requires long reach calipers. Both the front and rear calipers I installed where rubbing against the tires. I took it to a bike shop in hopes of it being user error and unfortunately it requires long reach. For the price I suppose I can't complain too much, but if I had to do it over again knowing what I know now and... 2/5 Mark Anderson "pooooop" (USA USA USA) - See all my reviews, February 8, 2014

    Everything you need is there

I purchased the white and black colors for this bike in medium. Going in order:Shipment/Receiving:The bike was shipped very well. At first sight you would think the box would way a ton, but it wasn't bad at all. Almost everything was zip-tied to the bike frame which ensured every party would be in the box. There was sufficient light foam padding and cardboard around the parts of the bike that needed it. It was also packed neatly and organized. Everything was in the box, but i have read some of the reviews stating they were missing a few parts here and there.Build:I'm no bike expert, but i do know how to maintain and change things on my bikes so the build wasn't bad at all for me considering the bike was practically built already. So, i had my brother build it (who knows barely anything about bikes except for ride and stop). He built it perfectly fine with the tools provided and without instructions, however there is a video online instructing you... 3/5 Patrick - See all my reviews This review is from: Critical Cycles Fixed Gear Single Speed Fixie Urban Road Bike (Sports) I purchased the white and black colors for this bike in medium. Awesome bike!!!

Single Handedly the best single-speed bicycle in this price range withfantastic components, A+ packaging, and amazing color options.Flip Flop Hub: This gives you the option to ride fixed or freewheel and very easy to switch from one to the other. I like riding fixed-gear personally, but it can get really tiring because your feet are moving a lot, so sometimes I switch to freewheel and then it rides like a normal cruiser.Tires: Really good quality. I've put a good 100 city miles on mine. Many pot holes, cracks, curbs, skids, bar-spins, no problems at all.Frame: The frame can bar spin and there is no toe overlap. The geometry is perfect, and the frame is surprisingly light for this price range. I've paid over $500 for my last fixie which was heavier.Handlebars: It's my first time having BMX style handlebars and I am really happy with them. I actually prefer them by far for city ridingbecause they come a little bit higher... 5/5 A. Schondorf - See all my reviews, July 24, 2012
