    Pretty, pretty good

0 5/5 Zuby - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Bell Sports 7015913 Bicycle Fix Cable Set (Sports) Pretty good deal. Seriously. $8 for a brand new set of cables, housing, and even a few ferrules and cable tips. That's a LOT of cable for about $9. Check, now its $5.50 at Amazon. Damn good deal! The shift housings are coiled, not compressionless. If you have index shifter (shifters that are numbered), then you might want to look for compressionless shifter cables. If you have friction shifters (levers), you'll be fine. Still, the brake cables are universal, so you are fine in that respect.Just a tip (got from a friend): when you cut the cable, the ends can fray. If you do not have a bicycle cable cutter, what you can do is wrap a small amount (maybe 2-3 turns) of electrical tape around the point you will cut, and then cut the cable with a regular cable cutter, sort of snipping then turning then snipping again. I got a REALLY cut with this tip. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , June 16, 2011

    Hard to beat

0 5/5 Plumbob - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Bell Sports 7015913 Bicycle Fix Cable Set (Sports) Great for fixing up the 30 year old Schwinn/Huffy/Ross/Murray that's been gathering dust.Still a pretty good deal for the newer (post 1985) indexed shifting bikes. In these bikes the brake cables will work fine, but the shift cables might be fussy. (Technical explanation : both the brake and gear cable housings in this set are tight spiral wound. Modern gear cable housing is loose spiral wound (100 mm period ), often called compression-less or constant-length. Some gear shifters will behave erratically with the Bell cable housing. Solution: buy a roll of Shimano SIS shift housing cable ... you can still use the Bell cables.)I've had no problems with Shimano indexed systems including Ultegra 10 , Dura Ace 9, and Deore XT. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , April 21, 2012

    Works pretty well

These cables and housings aren't perfect, but they work pretty darn well. I replaced the all the cables on one bike, the rear brake and rear derailleur cables on another, and the front derailleur cable on yet another using these cables. So far, so good. The brakes are working better than ever. The housing condenses just a tad when the cable is being pulled, so my rear derailleur skips 1st gear, but I'm fine with that. All the other gears work, why do I need first? The front derailleur cable I replaced on a friend's bike seems to be working fine too. A word of advice: lube the inside of these cable housings. if you don't there's a bit more friction than one is ok with in a bike cable. I just drip some motor oil in there before I run the wires through them and it works like a charm. Put them on over a month ago and everything is still working as smooth as ever! :D I used these to fix two Giant boulder mountain bikes, and one Schwinn Mesa. All three had rapid fire / click-style gear... 5/5 Sean89us - See all my reviews This review is from: Bell Sports 7015913 Bicycle Fix Cable Set (Sports) These cables and housings aren't perfect, but they work pretty darn well. Awesome.

0 5/5 jorge montelongo - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Pure Fix Cycles Untaped Bull Horn Handlebars (Sports) I ride my bike fixed gear, these handle bars are nice and sturdy, made a huge difference going from a riser bar to bullhorns. The bars themselves are finished very nicely (got the white ones) they look so good without tape on them I've just been riding them without the tape. Overall it is a very good product at a great price. I ride mostly urban areas and a few big hills here and there, i weigh about 170lbs and haven't felt anything in the bars suggesting they are weak especially when I hit my cadence going up a steep hill. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , March 18, 2013

    Great Riser Handlebars

I purchased this product for my friend's bike, which I am rebuilding as a surprise present while he is out of the country. After searching almost every bike place around Chicago—where we live—and all the bike websites I know of, I decided on Fure Fix's chiefly because of three main factors: 1) dimensions & color, 2) price, 3) they are almost exactly like the pair we saw on a bike last summer, which he told me he'd like on his ride someday. The bars were shipped exactly on the day they were advertised. The product was well wrapped in packaging and were in mint condition when removed from the box. They fit perfectly within the bike's original stem that is over 30 years old. Once tightened, they do not move around and feel completely secure when I put pressure onto the bars, head tube and fork. They look AWESOME on the bike and completely alter the presentation of the ride—all for the better! I would totally recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a... 5/5 KJD - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) 0 5/5 Michael T. (LIVINGSTON, NJ, US) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Pure Fix Cycles Riser Handlebars (Sports) I've been using these bars for about 6 months now and they have been great. they are the perfect width for me and the sweep of them is just right for comfort. I have the white bars which i believe are the only ones that are painted and not anodized. The finish is very high quality, and is the only painted piece on my bike that doesn't have any paint chips on it. during my spring cleaning i removed the bars from the stem, and the paint under the stem and brakes was still intact. Great product, and if you've ever dealt with Pure Fix, they are a great company as well. 0, April 14, 2015

    Everything you need is there

I purchased the white and black colors for this bike in medium. Going in order:Shipment/Receiving:The bike was shipped very well. At first sight you would think the box would way a ton, but it wasn't bad at all. Almost everything was zip-tied to the bike frame which ensured every party would be in the box. There was sufficient light foam padding and cardboard around the parts of the bike that needed it. It was also packed neatly and organized. Everything was in the box, but i have read some of the reviews stating they were missing a few parts here and there.Build:I'm no bike expert, but i do know how to maintain and change things on my bikes so the build wasn't bad at all for me considering the bike was practically built already. So, i had my brother build it (who knows barely anything about bikes except for ride and stop). He built it perfectly fine with the tools provided and without instructions, however there is a video online instructing you... 3/5 Patrick - See all my reviews This review is from: Critical Cycles Fixed Gear Single Speed Fixie Urban Road Bike (Sports) I purchased the white and black colors for this bike in medium. Dude....

I've had a metric F!@#ton of bikes over the years - all of varying quality and price. This bike, straight up - is a stellar deal. I bought it for this pub pedal thing we do here in Kansas City, it's this thing where you get wasted and ride around to local bars. I lost my job a few months prior and sold my super badass Specialized 29er, the previous year at the pub pedal I had the most badass bike. That meant a lot to me. Well this years pub pedal snuck up on my bikeless ass and I had to act quick. I search amazon because I knew I could get something shipped quick with Prime - Took a chance with this cheap-ass bike. Here are the details. When it arrived on my door I immediately posted a picture of it on Instagram. That last sentence has no relevance in this review, I just wanted to tell you. Anyway, I pulled the big ass bike into my apartment thinking "damn, this s*** got here in 2 days and it's boxed up all nice, and it was only 220 dollars?!
