    Great Commuting Bike

I have around a 2 mile commute back and forth from home and work depending on my route with a total of 8 miles (including back and forth for lunch) and have waited a few months to write a review. So far I've put about 500 miles on this bike in the past 2 months. This bike is definitely solid. I had no problems with scratches, gouges, or striped pedals or anything like that during assembly. I haven't had a single problem with the inner tubes either, aside from the normal tire pressure drop after a couple weeks. I used to do this commute with a department store mountain bike and have made my ride extremely easier. The bike is pretty light from my experience of bikes, I haven't any top of the line road bikes or anything like that but for my purposes this thing is perfect. The paint does scratch when locking it against the a rack or having other bikes hit it but if your really nit picky about scratches, the only way your going to avoid scratching any bike is if you don't... 5/5 dTonaz - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Decent value, but be warned...

I'd really like to be able to write a more glowing review, but there are some serious ground floor issues with this bike, which, once taken care of, lead to a good commuter ride.First, I should mention that before buying this I shopped on line for quite a while. I really would have liked to have gotten one of the Bigshot bikes, but since I'm 5'11" and they don't make a 58 cm, there weren't any sizes from them I thought would be maximally comfortable in. Bikesdirect.com had some decent SS/fixies, but I don't like the curved fork on the Motobecane/Windsors or the fact that they only came with rear brakes. Plus I liked the thicker rims. The Vilanos looked cheap and places like State Bike seemed a little more expensive, so I went with the purefix which, at 325, was about 100 dollars less than state or bigshot. As other reviewers have noted, the Kenda Kwest tires are absolute garbage. I had the exact same problem as another guy with the tires popping off the rim... 3/5 David M Aleksic - See all my reviews This review is from: Pure Fix Cycles Original Fixed Gear Single Speed Fixie Bike (Sports) I'd really like to be able to write a more glowing review, but there are some serious ground floor issues with this bike, which, once taken care of, lead to a good commuter ride.First, I should mention that before buying this I shopped on line for quite a while. Abused for six months... and counting

DELIVERY / DAY ONEProduct arrived in a box that looked like it got jumped by a rival gang. Surprisingly, the seat post clamp was the only thing damaged. I contacted the guys at Pure Fix and they had a replacement one en route the same day, no charge. Fresh out of the box, the Pure Fix logo sticker was already peeling. I had no problem with this as I had planned on removing them anyways. So... thumbs up for making that easier for me.BIKE / SIX MONTHS LATERTo preface, I'm 6'1", 230lbs. I reluctantly strapped this fragile looking bike, instead of my MTB, to the back of my SUV and took off on a road trip. This bike has seen the traffic of Atlanta/Miami/Austin/Dallas, the cobblestone roads of Charleston and Savannah, the sand and salt of Key West, and has jumped countless curbs/potholes/roadkill animals. I can honestly say I gave this bike a good thrashing and it has remained mechanically sound throughout all of this.I'm not sure how all... 4/5 Pure Fix Cycles says:, March 2, 2014

    Great Riser Handlebars

I purchased this product for my friend's bike, which I am rebuilding as a surprise present while he is out of the country. After searching almost every bike place around Chicago—where we live—and all the bike websites I know of, I decided on Fure Fix's chiefly because of three main factors: 1) dimensions & color, 2) price, 3) they are almost exactly like the pair we saw on a bike last summer, which he told me he'd like on his ride someday. The bars were shipped exactly on the day they were advertised. The product was well wrapped in packaging and were in mint condition when removed from the box. They fit perfectly within the bike's original stem that is over 30 years old. Once tightened, they do not move around and feel completely secure when I put pressure onto the bars, head tube and fork. They look AWESOME on the bike and completely alter the presentation of the ride—all for the better! I would totally recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a... 5/5 KJD - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) 5/5 Michael T. (LIVINGSTON, NJ, US) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Pure Fix Cycles Riser Handlebars (Sports) I've been using these bars for about 6 months now and they have been great. they are the perfect width for me and the sweep of them is just right for comfort. I have the white bars which i believe are the only ones that are painted and not anodized. The finish is very high quality, and is the only painted piece on my bike that doesn't have any paint chips on it. during my spring cleaning i removed the bars from the stem, and the paint under the stem and brakes was still intact. Great product, and if you've ever dealt with Pure Fix, they are a great company as well., April 14, 2015

Product arrived and was only one cable. In addition, the product description was listed as: "Brake Fix Brake Cable Set, Double Ended Fits Most Common Bicycle Brakes, Easy To Install, Comes With Extra Ferrules & End Cap". Package did NOT come with extra ferrules & end cap. Not worth sending it back. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 22, 2013

X-small 43cm frame perfect for me!

5/5 Jessica Biloxi - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Critical Cycles Classic Fixed-Gear Single-Speed Track Bike with Pursuit Bullhorn Bars (Sports) I love this bike! I'm 5'4" with a short inseam and got the 43cm/x-small frame and could not be happier. It weighs 24.5 pounds without the lock, and it so easy to move around compared to the monster Frankenbike MTB I was on before. Easy to assemble, looks great, rides great so far. May have to upgrade tires, but everything else I'm more than happy with. I live in New Orleans and ride to work a few days a week, and I'm loving it so far. The price is good, shipping was good, everything I needed in the box. Packaged well and no missing parts. Simple and straightforward for anyone who's ever fooled around with bicycles. There were no assembly instructions which could be problematic for someone who's never worked with bikes before, but it's easy to Google any additional info needed from Critical Cycles. It's so nice to finally have a me sized ride!, October 29, 2015

Good bike for a great price

4/5 Seth Ramirez - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Critical Cycles Classic Fixed-Gear Single-Speed Track Bike with Pursuit Bullhorn Bars (Sports) I have been riding this bike for several weeks and have found it to be a reliable and stylish form of transportation. The flat black paint job gives the bike a higher end look compared to it's counterparts in the same price range. Upon receiving the bike I immediately upgraded the handlebars to an aero track drop bar. I would also recommend buying a more comfortable saddle. Aside from that, this bike has done it's job and I am confident that it will last a very long time.
