    Awesome.

5/5 jorge montelongo - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Pure Fix Cycles 42cm Alloy Bull Horn Handlebar (Sports) I ride my bike fixed gear, these handle bars are nice and sturdy, made a huge difference going from a riser bar to bullhorns. The bars themselves are finished very nicely (got the white ones) they look so good without tape on them I've just been riding them without the tape. Overall it is a very good product at a great price. I ride mostly urban areas and a few big hills here and there, i weigh about 170lbs and haven't felt anything in the bars suggesting they are weak especially when I hit my cadence going up a steep hill. Dont try to put brakes on the ends, too small

I got these because the angled part of the bar looked long enough to fit my whole hand. I'm trying to fit accessory brakes and bar end shifters on the end and want to keep my hands on the uprights as thats about the same position and angle where they rest now on the hoods of my drop bars which is the only place I ever grip while riding. Unlike what's shown in the picture, these bars neck down in diameter two times, once from 26 to 24, then once more to something smaller a few inches out from where it fits to the stem. If you want to fit brakes next to the stem, should work fine. If you want brakes on the ends like me, the bar is too small for the breaks to fit. Also, the angled part is too short to comfortably take my whole hand and the brakes. I sent them back and ordered the Soma urban persuit bars which are 24mm all the way to the end so my brakes fit fine, the angles are long enough to take my hand but just barely. The one draw back is that the Somas only come in 25.4mm at... 3/5 Austin (Baltimore) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) 5/5 MamaSays - See all my reviews This review is from: Bell Sports 7015913 Bicycle Fix Cable Set I thought that you got 4 cables when you ordered 4. You get 4 SETS of cables when you order 4. If you only have one bike, order ONE.They work as they should, and even though I have too many cables, I still don't think I paid that much for them. Great, but beware if your bike has index shifting.

As noted by a few other reviewers, the shifter housings are not 'compression-less'. This means that if your bike has index shifting, like 99% of the bikes sold on the market today, you will probably get 'sloppy' shifting at best or in some cases it may not work at all. With that said, if you are not a very serious cyclist or triathlete, sloppy shifting is not really a huge deal breaker. I wouldn't recommend this set to overhaul a $2,000 road bike, but the majority of users are probably on hybrids or similar style bikes that retail for $400 or less. In that case, I think this set is a fantastic value.A caveat; if you decide to install the shifter housings on your index shifting system, keep in mind that it will work best on 7 and 8 speed systems which tend to be less 'finicky'. The 9,10, and 11 speed systems are probably best used with an SIS compatible housing, which can be purchased separately and used with the cables in this kit.Other than the... 4/5 Jose Sanchez (Miami, FL) - See all my reviews, June 7, 2014

Good if you are clueless about bike repair

2/5 Dinny and Mbankat (Boston, MA USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Bell Sports 7015913 Bicycle Fix Cable Set It is a cheap set, so if cost is your first and highest priority, then okay, but if you REALLY want your cables repaired, spend a few more bucks and get a decent set of cables.First, ALL the cable housings that come in the package are for brake cables – they are NOT meant to be used on shift cables.Second, the none of the housings have an inner Teflon (or some other typical material) tube... which most (even mid-decent quality) shifter cable housings have to prevents metal to metal friction; so for shifters, this set-up WILL damage your cable and prevent it from sliding better.SO - This is a decent deal if you are replacing the brake cables and plan to throw the shifter cables away; 5 bucks you get 4 cables decent cables, and two just okay brake housings, and two really not good for shifter housings.
