    Top Quality Brake Pads

I have used EBC brakes on my sport bikes before and LOVED them so when it came time to change the brakes on my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK, I figured I would try them on my Jeep.First off, let me say that if you own a JK, keep your eyes on your rear pads! At 53,000 miles I was down to 2.5mm of pad material in the rear while my front brake pads were still sitting at 6.2-6.8mm. I have other friends with JKs and they had the same issue, the rear pads wear over twice as fast when compared to the front.I was torn between the EBC Green Stuff, Yellow Stuff, and Hawk LTS pads. I did a lot of research (mostly to talk me out of the EBCs) but decided to try them based on prior motorcycle experience. I opted for the Green Stuff pads because while I typically drive very hard, possibly even a bit quicker than normal, I realized that a race pad would probably be a bit overkill. Especially on a Jeep that struggles to break 80 mph. Maybe when I change my BMW pads. I... 5/5 Navy Chief - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) A must for larger tires.

5/5 Alan Jackson - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: EBC Brakes DP61799 6000 Series Greenstuff Truck and SUV Rear Brake Pad (Automotive) I can really feel the difference with these pads. The stock pads would fade and gave a mushy feel, especially after installing larger tires. These EBC green stuff pads give better braking and better feel. Awesome brakes!

5/5 Craig Anderson (Washington) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: EBC Brakes DP61639 6000 Series Greenstuff Truck and SUV Brake Pad (Automotive) I bought these for my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, after my front brakes finally wore out after 97000 miles. I knew I was going for an upgrade, so I chose EBC pads & rotors. The brake pads are fairly easy to install, fit perfectly like they were OEM. The stopping power, granted I've only had them on for about 75 miles right now, but WOW.I've never put high performance brakes on any vehicle before. It is night and day between old and new. I now have to pay more attention to driving this for a bit, or it's a hard lunge forward by accidently pressing too far for what these things do. I would highly recommend EBC for a brake job or upgrade. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , March 10, 2016

5/5 Gary - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: EBC Brakes DP61639 6000 Series Greenstuff Truck and SUV Brake Pad (Automotive) I have a 2013 Ram 1500 4 door. The factory pads are great as it is but when i did my brakes this time i went with a more aggressive pad. I've raced motorcycles and cars my whole life and I'm super picky how my brakes feel. I did the green 6000's front and rear with new stock rotors. After bedding the new pads in and letting them cool I went on a joy ride and these brakes instantly put a smile on my face. They grab right away and have a very linear feel, the harder you push the pedal the more they grab. Fade is no longer an issue, even when hot they grab. If you weren't used to driving with pads like these it will probably take you a minute or two to get the feel for them. If you're not wearing your seat belt and jump on the brakes I'm sure you will end up on top of your dashboard. As with all performance pads I'm sure these will dust a little more and wear quicker but its completely worth having brakes that feel like this Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , April 20, 2017

Excellent stopping power - several flaws

I almost put myself through my own windshield testing the stopping power on these pads when I first installed them, so, if all you're worried about is your 60-0 time in your truck or SUV, these are a good option. There are two major issues I have with the pads, however:1. No 'screamers' on the pads. If you go from ceramics to these, you may be surprised at how quickly they wear down. You'll be doubly surprised when you don't get the annoying squealing sound that normally precedes pad replacement, and instead go right to grinding.2. Not all required hardware is included with these pads. Your vehicle may be different, however, the FJ requires a set of return springs and a set of cotter pins to properly complete a brake job. These came with neither.Other observations that go with the territory of having performance brakes:1. These do produce copious amounts of brake dust.2. These do fade and glaze, and will leave material on your... 3/5 Geoff Fontenova (Drums, PA 18222) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Good stuff, FJ install

5/5 AlpineCrew2 - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: EBC Brakes DP71657 7000 Series Greenstuff SUV Supreme Compound Brake Pad (Automotive) Installed on '07 FJ Cruiser. These things are money. They are noticeably better over stock. Follow the instructions on break in and you'll be gtg. Install on my FJ just required me to remove the wheel and the pads slide out the top of the caliper. New ones went in, with grease provided. I haven't experienced any brake noise/shimmy/shakes, not that i would really care, but its nice. They dont fade like stock when coming off/down the trails. Had issues with my stock setup coming down steep trails, especially when they heated up, this fixed it. FYI, I kept my stock rotors, did not re-surface them either. I just did a quick visual, they were actually in great shape, then cleaned with brake cleaner for good measure. So far, so good...

I purchased these for my 2003 Toyota Tundra to replace some ceramic pads I'd put on earlier. (Note: This truck eats pads and rotors like a fat boy eats doughnuts - and I'm a fat boy, so I know.) The old rotors had developed a "hot spot," where they would shudder at speed. I replaced the old non-OEM rotors with Toyota rotors and decided I'd try these pads, as they claim to be easier on the rotors. I am fine with additional brake dust as long as the rotor life is extended. (Replacing everything every time I do a brake job gets expensive.) I've only had them on for a week or so, so I'll update as necessary. So far, I've done a normal easy break-in, and I have noticed they are much "grabbier" than any other pads I've used, which is a good thing to me. I don't think they are fully seated yet, so that may get a little better with time. Some comments - One earlier reviewer stated the pads had no "screamers" on them. Mine came equipped with the metal tabs... 5/5 ChrisNat (Birmingham, AL) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?)
