Great kit that compares to sets 2-3 times the price

5/5 RobertsReviews (Cincinnati, OH) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: 8milelake 21pc Professional Disc Brake Caliper Wind Back Tool Kit (Misc.) I needed to do the brakes on a Toyota and an Infiniti. This set appeared to have all the options covered. It didn't come with instructions so you will want to print out the product description so you know with adapter goes to which brand of car. The tools appear to be well made, better than most kits at this price. The case holds everything in place really well. The threads were easy to turn and having both left and right handed assemblies is a bonus. Normally I would take a star off for the lack of documentation, but there is too much good about this set for that, and the information is there. It compares very well with kits 2-3 times its price. I purchased this product at full price for my own needs. All comments are my own and not influenced in any way. Having the right tool makes all the difference

5/5 sHockz (Austin, Tx) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: 8milelake 21pc Professional Disc Brake Caliper Wind Back Tool Kit (Misc.) This is so dang easy to use, comes with absolutely everything you need, and worked FLAWLESSLY!!!! I am a believer overnight. So glad I got this....didn't have to mess with C-clamps trying to push the piston back in or anything ridiculous like that. This fell under the "right tool for the job" category and just turned what used to be a timely process into a quick second thought. Used this on my 2013 VW Passat. Just be sure to TURN SLOWLY as you're pushing the piston back. This is important so you don't damage the brake system. Just go slow, don't just crank down like a beast, and this will work perfectly. 10/10, would buy again. No issues with quality what so ever. Hope this works for my motorcycle, we shall see! Works great, can't imagine needing more unless you do dozens of rear brakes every day.

5/5 CDR - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: 8milelake 21pc Professional Disc Brake Caliper Wind Back Tool Kit (Misc.) Backyard/driveway mechanic here. Tool worked as expected for a 2010 VW Jetta Sportswagen. Easy to use. Sometimes the disks fall out of their spot but no big deal. The right tool, even if it's not a gleaming work of machined art, is much better than not having the tool at all. My hands no longer cramp on long descents

I bought these to replace the 8 or 9 year old Hayes hydraulic brakes on my Giant bike. I was cautioned by my local bike shop that it would just be better to replace the Hayes than to try and bleed them and get them working again. The Hayes use a DOT fluid that apparently degrades the rubber in the system over time. The Shimano uses mineral oil, which does not.I had been biking for years so I've had pretty much every type of brake on my bikes over the years. I had been cursing hydraulic brakes because of their added complexity but when they are working, boy there is no beating them! I don't have the longest fingers and I would constantly get hand cramps with my previous brakes on long descents but these require such little effort to provide a solid grip on the disc brake that I no longer find myself shaking my hands after a long descent to try and get blood back into them. I love these. As others mentioned, any new brakes like this come with a lot of extra cable... 5/5 Kevin Boulder (Colorado) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) What a ride

Since I bought my popular name brand crossover bike, I have had issues with the popularly equipped (on many bike brands) rear hydraulic disc brake. For two years my bike has been in and out of the local bike store where purchased, They have done everything possible to get the braking power elevated to meet my wishes to stop when I want to stop. Finally after finding I was more happy with my road bike and its Shimano Ultegra systems, I did something about it. I ordered the Shimano XT BL-M8000 disc brake caliper. My stopping power on the rear wheel was still a little less than I expected yet better than before with the other popular disc brake. I Finally came to the conclusion I should try changing the disc to the Shimano disc that compliments the Shimano caliper. What a difference, immediately noticeable. This is exactly what I expected all along, stopping power. I have ordered the front and it has arrived. I will install it on my next day off. I think the Deore XT M-8000... 5/5 Steve Roberts (Redlands, CA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Decent replacement, not an upgrade.

3/5 David (Denver) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: OUTERDO Cycling Bicycle Bike Brake Disc Rotors 120mm/140mm/160mm/180mm/203mm With Bolts The rotor appears to be of high quality, and perhaps it doesn't work with my brakes, but I've found the rotors to be noisy and inconsistent. I replaced my brake pads at the same time that I installed this rotor for use with my Avid Juicy XO brakes. After the pads were broken in, I find the braking pulses at slower speeds and they make significantly more noise than my old rotors. That said, they do work and they installed easily. Would recommend if you can't justify spending nearly twice as much on the name brand rotor. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , April 28, 2016

Good rotors, not just good for the price.

4/5 Crapulence (Texas, usa) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: OUTERDO Cycling Bicycle Bike Brake Disc Rotors 120mm/140mm/160mm/180mm/203mm With Bolts The rotor was only slightly out of true when it arrived, no worse than most of the big name rotors I've run. It has run quietly and hasn't heat warped at all. I've only had it installed for a little over a week but it's had a few hundred miles of trail rides including a 12 hour endurance race. It probably weights a few grams more than the more expensive rotors, mostly due to the extra spokes in this design, but for me this is a minimal issue. I would rather have durability and dependability over a little weight savings any day. I'll try and update this with actual weight readings next time I have them off the wheel.I'd have given it 5 stars if it had been perfectly true but I'm picky about this. WAYYYY WORTH IT.

5/5 Grant Gifford (Boynton Beach, FL) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Power Stop K137 Front Z23 Evolution Brake Kit with Drilled/Slotted Rotors and Ceramic Brake Pads (Automotive) Purchased these for my 2007 FJ Cruiser. Paid $173 INCLUDING SHIPPING! Was a little hesitant because of the amazingly great price for drilled/ slotted rotors AND pads, but I researched all over the web for any bad reviews and could find only positive. So, I took the plunge and couldn't be happier. They look cool, the stopping power is wayyyy improved and brake dust is no worse than with the stock pads. Another nice feature I noticed is that the anti-squeal shims are built into the pads unlike on the stock pads. You won't find a shop that will replace your PADS for this price, much less to turn or replace your rotors. I've added some pictures of the rotors installed on my FJ in the product photos section. Buy these, you won't be disappointed., December 23, 2012

Works great on 2006 Tacoma 4x4 Sport

5/5 Adam E - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Power Stop K137 Front Z23 Evolution Brake Kit with Drilled/Slotted Rotors and Ceramic Brake Pads (Automotive) I put these on my 2006 Toyota Tacoma Sport 4x4, and they were a perfect fit. After a few miles of break-in time, these rotors and pads have excellent smooth stopping power. Time will tell if they hold up to the Arizona heat and the abuse that I give my 4x4, but so far they are great.Much more solid than my factory rotors. For the price, this kit can't be beat. I always use ceramic pads, too, so this combination was exactly what I needed. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , March 16, 2016
